(OOC: Oh, I forgot to add this in my last post... Tetsuo abandoned the ammunitions case.)
Despite being a catgirl, Tetsuo looked like a beaten puppy once Elise was done. Her heart had been racing since the whole operation began, but now each beat was painful and draining instead of anxious and energizing. She could understand how Elise felt, because it wasn't uncommon for many plots in manga and anime to have good or neutral characters misunderstood because of a lack of information and understanding on at least one end between any person or group of people. In many cases, they are mistakenly perceived as bad guys. Even someone in the same position as she was, getting carried away by the flow of events and having a hard time making decisive actions, is at the mercy of such perception even when they are able to make a decision that is definitive of themselves. The action could be good, but it'd otherwise be confusing or clash with another's perception, and thus risk the potential for being deemed as a scheme or trick for some nefarious end. Usually, it came down to whether or not they were confirmed allies; if not, then the rational course usually taken is one of mistrust and negative judgement.
Tetsuo was in such a position right now even though she had only stayed behind because she had been in no state to leave, after having convinced Neko to leave without her. It was never about choosing sides for her: she had noticed that Neko did not seem keen about the Neko-Jin's intentions and simply decided that she shouldn't be a reason to shackle her to them. She had every intention of trying to be with Neko again, however selfish that may seem... She was as certain of her love for Neko as Elise's was of her love for Genno. Some may say that the decision should have been easy for her, but they aren't exactly in her shoes. Here she was, thrust into a new life with catgirls that seemed to genuinely care about her and, frankly, the idea of a whole city full of catgirls was very tempting. But it was equally countered by the fact that she didn't believe in forcing people to do things against their will as being good... And thus the indecision.
But what she could decide on, was helping someone that had been injured. If she was sure of anything, it was that she didn't want people hurt. Only a bad guy wouldn't aid the injured. She abandoned her assigned station for something she truly believed in. It was something that wouldn't likely be picked up by a practical stranger, so trying to convince Elise of anything probably wouldn't work. In the end, she could only reiterate her offer.
"I... I-I just want to help..." She replied, her voice quiet and strained, eyes and ears lowered. She probably looked pathetic, but there was nothing that she could do about that. She just hoped that, if she were allowed to help, that she could actually do anything to help. Elise, as far as she could tell, was looking weak and pale. She was sure that the bullet was considered lethal for a reason... She knew enough that even one bullet wound could be bad news if it didn't hit any vitals organs, if it had instead hit an artery. Which might be the case...
(OOC: A very scary post, isn't it?)
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned because only women can give two tits for every tat.
