(Elise's condition, as I imagined, is pretty much exactly as it's been RPed. Bandage the wound, and she can hobble around, but would be in big trouble in a straight fight. Rose could have exploited this, but...)

Rose hits the ground, her eyes wide open, looking upwards. Her mouth is open just a little bit, in an expression of shock. She doesn't appear to be breathing, and is clearly no longer a threat. She doesn't appeared harmed on the outside, at least.

Teacher's pet lets go, and jumps to the side, her right arm flailing as she dodges. The fire fills where she was standing just a brief moment ago, but when it clears, she's still there. The tape is no longer in her hands, but she is alive. She raises her right arm to point at Genno, extending her finger. But, she realizes that she can't see it. She can feel the fingers, but she can't see them move. She looks at her right shoulder, and sees only a cauterized lump. Her face turns pale, and a taunt dies on her lips. She looks at Genno, realizing that she might have finally met her match.

[Xiao]

Xiao takes a few deep breaths before falling to his knees. After a few moments of resting he stood and brushed himself off. He began to leave before he had a small twinge of guilt. He looked back and saw her lying there helpless. Surely there is someone who would regret you dying... he thought. He walked back to where she lay and played his fore fingers along the side of her head, feeling for a pulse.

There is none. She appears to have had a heart attack. Medically, she is aready dead. Whether or not she is truly gone forever, is still in question.

[Xiao]

Xiao sighed as the pulse didn't come and the body's temperature started to fall. He stood, a resurrection spell was much too advanced for him to attempt, so he began to walk away, towards where Elise and Tetsuo were. As he approached, he saw the cat girl and began to approach at a quicker pace, though his tired muscles wouldn't allow him to go in a full out run. As he got closer, he noticed that neither of them were fighting, though Elise was clutching at a bloody strip of cloth. "What do you want?" he asked Tetsuo as he got within a range that wouldn't require him to yell.

"No, I don't..." Tetsuo replied and bit her lip, wondering if there was anything that she could do for Elise. She could try and take her somewhere where she could could get help, but she suspected that Elise didn't want to leave this place. She wasn't aware of her and Genno's relationship, but she knew signs of stubborness from watching and reading plenty of anime and manga (of course).

But she soon got an idea... Feeling her new canines on her lips made her think of how she had become a catgirl. Her arms had been healed a good deal of time before she showed any noticable signs of becoming a catgirl, so... Perhaps, should she inject Elise with the virus below her injury, it'd get healed even sooner? Sure, she'd eventually become a catgirl, but... It was still an idea.

"Wait..." She spoke up, making sure she had Elise attention. She felt nervous, so she avoided eye contact. "I can fix your leg, but... It'd effect the rest of your body as well and, um... Well, you see... Y-you'd end up having a body like mine, too..."

She kind of slunk back, ready for a negative verbal assault even though she was sure that Elise wanted to rejoin her own group, despite the fact that she shouldn't be moving around with such an injury.

Elise just stared at Tetsuo for a moment. Then the implication sunk in. "You're basically saying that... that you can somehow help me fix this thing if... if I become a... catgirl?..." Her fingers tightened around the handle of the umbrella. "No." She shook her head, quick and sharp, hair flipping. "No. I- can't. Yes, I hurt. And yes, I do know my- my life is in danger. But not- not at the expense of myself. There are ways- other ways- to fix this. I can wait, I'm not dead yet, you know.... Maybe, if it was either that or die, then I could accept that offer. But only then. To change my deepest self- no. I wouldn't be me anymore. And I can't do that. I can't give that up.... At least you asked instead of just doing it. I'll... give you that much...." Her head drooped, and she deliberately pulled in a few deep breaths, shoulders shaking a little. When it came back up, she saw Xiao approaching. He looks okay. I hope it's the same for Genno.... He's nowhere in sight.... She chewed her lower lip nervously as she watched this strange aquaintance approach, not wanting to look at Tetsuo because of what she might see there.

[Xiao]

Tetsuo had expected that sort of reply, but she still felt dispirited and sad, unable to do anything. Being wrapped up with such feelings made it possible for Xiao to surprise her, and she scooted away from them both.

"N-nothing... I guess..." She replied, looking at the ground.

Then she realized who she had replied to... Raising her head sharply, she spared Xiao a glance before she looked in the direction where she thought Rose to be and could see her lying on the ground. She raced over to Rose, leaving Xiao and Elise to thier own devices.

[Mistress Guendolen]

OOC: Xiao, are you going to be rephrasing your question, or shall I just respond from here?

[Xiao]

Xiao gave a heavy sigh as Tetsuo ran off. After a moment he took to regain himself he pointed towards the bloody cloth that was on Elise's leg, "Your wound, how bad is it?" he asked, his voice sounding tired, yet still keeping it's off pitch that he used as disguise.

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise glanced down; in all her lurching around, the side of her skirt had somehow managed to stay bunched up on the side. Still, at this point she was feeling just too worn out to pull it back down. "It hurts," she said, tight weariness in her voice. "But... I think the bleeding's slowing a little. I'm trying not to move too much.... So I'm pretty much useless for the rest of this expedition." She couldn't keep the edge out of her voice, at that. "But... I'm still alive, though... this needs some sort of proper medical care, and soon."

[Xiao]

"Here, this should help," Xiao said before kneeling to bring the wound to about his hands' level. He lifted his right hand to where it was roughly an inch from the center of the blood stain and groggily chanted

Meus pectus pectoris , vigoratus is vulnus , addo is propinquus ut silentium

A few green wisps of light flowed from his hand to the wound, the bleeding should slow to a normal wound and be sterile to avoid infection. Though in his current state he can't completely heal the wound, it would hurt quite a bit less. "You should go to either that doctor who helped your friend or the medic you helped after this for some treatment, I'm sorry I can't help more."

[Mitera Nikkou]

Tetsuo stopped a short distance away from Rose's prone form, hesitant to find out what her condition was. But she soon strode forward, slowly, and knelt beside her despite her fears. She checked to see if she was breathing, but she felt no breath on her hand. Heart thumping wildly and hands shaky, she then went on to check for a pulse on her neck with one hand while the other checked for the rhythmic pumping in her chest. She found none.

She sat back, at first disbelieving and denying, and then doing all that she could to fight the tears and whatever wanted to escape her aching lungs. Those feelings then focused inward, pulled in by guilt and self-loathing. Not only could she not help someone injured, but she couldn't even give support and help someone she cared about so something like this couldn't happen. She grit her teeth and clenched her eyes shut, her hands gripping and tearing out the grass beneath them. Still, the tears flowed, and the feelings fought to get out.

Suddenly, she opened her eyes, a determined, somewhat desperate look in them, fueled by enough of a mixture of things to be mistaken for hysteria. She then bent over Rose and immediately began to perform CPR.

"Come on... Please..." She muttered strongly but quietly, her voice hoarse and quavering, when she got to the part where she had to press down on Rose's chest firmly a number of times. "Please... Please... Please...!"

While she had never been taught CPR, she had seen it performed enough times to know what to do. At least she hoped that she was doing it right, and that her efforts wouldn't be in vain. But she didn't want to think about the prospect of failing...

"Yeah. Not being able to use an arm's a bitch, isn't it?" Genno runs at her and leaps, attempting to bicycle kick her in the face with his burning feet.

Xiao looked over as he caught the odd scene at the edge of his vision, curious as to what was going on, but soon regretted it. As soon as he saw the look on the live one's face, he began to break down. I did this... I could have kept it more contained, I could have let her live... He brought a hand to his blackened forehead and lowered his head, a few tear falling to be caught on his glass frames.
