Raleigh's Magic School

[Raleigh]

These will all do. Please head on to the auditorium for the mandatory greeting/meeting/assembly for all first year students. Its sort of an intro to magic class to get you all into the right mind set. Just take the door on the right there and follow the hallway. Mind the pictures on the walls, I seem to recall we had some steal life monsters get loose in there once. Can't remember if we killed all of them or not.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"All right. Thank you very much." Thora followed his directions, taking her time as she walked down the hallway in order to study the pictures in question carefully.

[Raleigh]

*The pictures that Thora is looking at seem to depict scenes from the bizarre to the down right common. One picture depicts a scene of a house upon a hill with a tree next to it blowing in the wind. The sky is a beautiful blue and one can tell that anyone would feel at home in the picture's setting. Next is a picture of a desolete cliff outlooking a sea of lava with a red sky above. Clouds of sulfer float by what looks like a lone sword left, point down, at the end of the cliff. Followed by other pictures of similar fare. A few though make little sense, being pictures of merely weapons or people who merit no names below the pictures. Interspaced amongst all these portraits and paintings are a few obvious glyphs and runes drawn upon the walls or even some having been framed. The floor way of the hall seems to be covered in intricate geometrical patterns, and if one looks closely, some sandskrit.*

*Kai was sittin in a room hidden by the shadows praticing his fire*

This is going to be a fun school. Finaly people who might stand a chance aganist my magic.

Ricky also went on following that person at then desk instructions to get to said auditorium also looking at the pictures as well.

"Hopefully I wont get lost through these corridors." Ricky said navigating the place.

"so where do i go first...?" i asked myself wandering the halls.

I forget why I am here in the first place.

*Kai fell a sleep and he started dreaming about his past when he suddenly woke up*

I remember. I have to lose a fight while using my full force or I will never be returned to normal.

[Raleigh]

The ones that have traveled down the hallway after signing in find themselves stepping into a rather grand auditorium. Several seats are set up for them to await the beginning of the ceremony. Upon the stage, one can find a few people already in seats waiting for the ceremony to begin. There are six currently sitting in chairs with a podium situated in such a way as to act like a divisor of the chairs. On the right side of the podium is a female and on the left a male. One can tell, even from a distance, that these two are siblings. It might be the similarities of their facial structure or the fact that their clothing seems to be similar. The male's outfit however has some blue swatches upon it here and there as the female's is red. Both of them have a sword hanging from their belts. Beside the female, on her left hand side sits a man who seems to be a bit nervous about being up on the stage. One can tell this man has seen a few fights in his time from a few scars upon his face. Other than that, he seems not overly remarkable. Beside of him sits another female, only this one is obviously not human. It might be the cat ears on her head or the way she sits in here seat as if ready to pounce. She seems to also be excited, though judging from her smile it has more to do with fresh meat than with nerves. On the side of the male sibling, one can see to his right sits another female. She seems to be muttering something quitely to herself and habitually checking a book she is holding in her hands. Beside of her sits a man in a long trenchcoat, a sword slung up over his shoulder and a lazy air about him. If one was sensitive enough, they can feel a certain aura of fear surrounding the man, one that would scare people away from him.

Male sibling: "Please take a seat as you arrive. Once everyone is here, we will begin the little greeting ceremony for all students as well as introducing the heads of the various departments here at the school. The school's headmaster should be here shortly."
Female sibling: "Also, please refrain from tossing around any magic at this time. We would rather avoid any complications that may arise from accidental misfirings."

[Tala]

*Kai appeared from teh shadows and sat in the far back*

Orentations. Bleh.

[Mistress Guendolen]

Thora found herself a seat in the front half of the auditorium. Thus far, no one else was sitting in the immediate vicinity. She was busy studying the people on the stage with some interest. "I wonder if those are the instructors?" she said to herself thoughtfully.

[Tala]

*Kai, being bored, uses his shadows to place fire on random seats that are unocupied amd then hiding the fire waiting for people to sit down. one of the seat happened to be the seat Thora just sat down in*

[Josh-May]

I took a seat beside a girl, and waited for something to happen.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Ow!" She hopped to her feet and, acting on pure instinct, sent a little jet of water shooting out of her fingertip to put out the offending flame. "All right, there are some extremely immature- or maybe just plain mean- people in this seminar...." Then she went to find herself a non-damp seat, checking carefully for traps first, all the while hoping that the back of her skirt wasn't too badly damaged. I haven't even been here a day, and already there are bullies.... Okay, so it was a random bullying, but that makes it even worse. I'm going to end up keeping to myself after all....

[Tala]

*Kai saw Thora jump and he started laughing sliently and then proceded to put a diffrent kind of flame on her seat*

*Raleigh appears behind the podium.* Hm.. Alright, everyone here? Those of you who think I can't see in the astral spectrum, please drop your phase shifts. I know more of the seats are full in here than appear to be. *A few more seats suddenly have people sitting in them.* Alright first thing is first. I would like to welcome you all to our wonderful school. As you can tell, we dedicate ourselves mostly to the training of magic. After this small assembly, you can all go to your assigned dorm rooms or wander around campus. First, I suppose you are asking yourself who is this nutcase that is talking to you? Well I am Raleigh, the head of this particular school. On either side of me are the heads of the various departments here. The male on my left, that would be your right, is named Naro. He will be handling the department in charge of teaching mostly enchanting and some degree of alchemicaly theory. Beside of him is Wren, she is in charge of our classical education and technomancy departments. Beside of her is Kayote, the head of long range combat and dark magic. To my right, your left, is Shara. She is in charge of basic magical instruction on offensive and defensive. Beside of her is Laran, who is in charge of weapon combat tutoring as well as health education. Beside of him is someone you will all come to love to hate, my familiar Ebony. She is in charge of mostly close range fighting as well as the higher a few of the higher level classes. I am in charge of pretty much anything these ones are not, including general theory and forbidden spell crafts. Any questions from anyone in the audiance? Perhaps an explanation of magic or anything?
