Tetsuo ran up to Scientia and, in all seriousness, asked, "Can you let me in there with her?"

She didn't include Genno because she had a feeling that she'd have less of chance of getting a positive response if she had.

Scientia glares at Testuo, and blinks. "Um, you're standing right next to one of the prisoners who escaped, fought with Teacher's Pet, and was responsible for me getting squished in a door." She gets a look on her face reminicst of Jon Stewart's 'disbelief' takes, and her words radiate sarcasm. "I'm thinking you're not going with the plan."

[Mitera Nikkou]

Tetsuo gave her a look of confusion.

"What? I didn't fight Teacher's Pet... And I had nothing to do with you being squished in that door; you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time." She tried to reason with her, then shook her head to get herself back on track. "Nevermind that. Look," her expression turned somber, "Like the rest of you, I've come to a realization about what I want to do. I'm asking you to let me confront the 'Boss' because I care about you. I don't want to have to resort to other measures to reach her..." Her grip on her gun tightened a little. Her expression softened a bit, a good representation of the kind of naivety that was a part of her character. "At the very least, tell me why you would help her do this."

Elise hissed a little as the disinfectant bubbled and fizzed, but stayed still.... It hurt a lot less than actually being shot, after all. Amazing how you can put some things in perspective that way.... "I... think it'd better be the battle painkiller," she said. "I'm sick of being useless. By the time I get there it might well be all over, but if it isn't I want to be able to actually do something. I've been down with this leg basically the whole time I've been here...."

Scientia points to Genno. "He fought Teacher's pet. He is indirectly responsible for me getting squished. You are standing next to him. I jump, conclusions are there. As for why I want to work with The Boss. It's simple. I want to."

Genno was silent, watching Tetsuo and and Scientia talk. He wasn't ready to run in and set fire to everything... Not yet.

Doctor Black Jack turns to Pinoko, and gives her instructions in what seems almost like a foreign language. Specifically, that of medical gibberish. She obviously understands it, as she gives him the right equipment. He prepares the needle, and injects it near the wound. Elise can feel the last of the pain wash away, though the specific area of the wound is slightly numb.

After injecting Elise, Black Jack turns to Xiao. "Do you need any help?"

"Thank you." Elise got to her feet, still moving gingerly as she tested out her leg. "This is... much better. Hopefully this will all be over before it wears off. I'm in your debt yet again, it seems, even though you say I don't actually owe you anything."

[Mitera Nikkou]

Despite how unrealistic her approach to the situation surely was, Tetsuo decided to try it anyway.

"And I wish to face her." She replied, straightening her posture to appear more confident than she really was. "I've heard that she's invincible, so what concern could I be?" She cast her eyes downward, "I know I'm not making any sense," she raised her eyes to once again meet Scientia's, "but if there are going to be more catgirls in the world, I want to try and get it done the right way."

Scientia smiles at Tetsuo. "Well, what do you mean by the 'right way'? I, personally, don't think there is a right way. Just a way. People pick their own path, and those paths which are successful are declared 'right'. In this case, the path will hopefully eliminate most conflicts. Though I might have to work on increasing the empathic bond, using either you or Neko as a focus. Or maybe a 'production model' of Neko..."

[Mitera Nikkou]

"I believe the right way is by not forcing anyone. Instead it would be done by setting good examples and inspiring people to become catgirls so they are happy with their change." Tetsuo held her arms up to herself with her hands balled into fists, the flame of the hero's spirit burning bright in her eyes. "Like one of my favorite heroines has said: 'the path of least resistance ofttimes carves itself through the well-meaning and drowns its effort.'"

Scientia shakes her head. "The ones who need it the most, the ones who cannot possess 'empathy' with others, are the ones who would never accept it, because they cannot see the need. I know, unlike TP, that doing it will cause us to commit an act that can be called 'evil', but I am willing to pay that price. Still a neat line, though. Must remember to grab the DVD Box Set..."

[Mitera Nikkou]

"So you're not going to let me face the Boss?" Tetsuo asked, appearing to be disappointed, but then switched tactics and puffed herself up into a self-confident stance. "Or are you afraid that I'm right and it would see me through to foil your idea in how you approach the world by defeating her?"

[Xiao]

Xiao looked up tiredly at Black Jack and responded, "Unless you have something in there that can give me a night's sleep in a few seconds, I'm a lost caused, just used enough energy to keep me from moving much."

Black Jack hands Xiao a Red Bull. "What? You were expecting a medical miracle formula?"

Scientia shrugs. "Nah, I just don't want you to die brutally. I like you too much. So, no facing the Boss for you. Excuse me, I have to type in the command code to deactivate the shielding over the nuclear reactor."
