I've always called it dinner, myself. Our next-door neighbor alternates terms, however. She's older, though, so that could be why.

I don't know about anyone else, but I call it breakfast. Because eating is breaking a fast. Well, perhaps in my case, anyway... I usually get one meal a day. Sometimes just a snack or two a day.

There is also "cena"...

well meals are the main part of the day so i should know what they are called. breakfast, lunch, dinner and finally afters if you are a greedy sod.
so the total anatomy of the food day.

and as for scones, well i don't know.
