The Riddler vs. The Scarecrow

Postby Kohaku » Fri Apr 06, 2007 1:09 pm

I'm in a very Batman mood this weather, so here's one o' them "who'd win in a fight?" polls, just to spice the Polls section up.

So, who'd win out of these two Batman Villains? The King of Riddles, The Riddler? Or the God of Fear, The Scarecrow?

If you feel up to it, state why your chosen combatant would win.

Arena is of course, Gotham City.

I guess I'd have to say... The Riddler. The scarecrow isn't very effective unless he can find his target and effect them.

Batman interrupts and whups them both. :P

In the unlikely event that the Caped Crusader doesn't make an appearance, the Riddler, because I like him.

I'd go with Riddler...have you seen his daughter? If she can get that bad, she had to get it from somewhere.

Batman would totally notice a battle like that and join in... or wait until one beats the other and attack the winner.
You know the situation where a character has a little angel and devil symbolising his/her good and bad sides pop up near their head? Well, I have that too.

Except the good side is a timid schoolgirl.

And the bad side is a maniacal dark elf.

scarecrow because all the riddlier does is do riddles that a 5 year old could figure out and scarecrow makes people go mad and kill themselves.

I think we are forgetting the real big bad of the Joker. But since he isn't an option, I voted for Batman. He would win because.... he's Batman.

Edward Nygma aka the Riddler uses puzzles and riddles to try to trick opponents, like th Batman...of course, Batman can solve most of those riddles, like this one;

"What 11 letter word is often misspelled Incorrectly?"

The Scarecrow has some fear-inducing Pheremones (single target effect, or AoE).

Also, the Riddler has 2 female accomplices, Quiz and Query, to help him out. The Joker has Harley Quinn as his partner, even though he basically uses her vulnerabilty.

Batman would definately win, in fact he probably set the whole thing up to keep them busy so he could get some vacation time in with some distant cousins in a cave in South America ;p.

We talking 60's riddler or modern riddler. Despite being rather goofy and overdramatic, 60's riddler seems to pose a bigger threat to Batman than all his other villians. Modern day riddler doesn't get much screentime because his riddles have to make sense.

Riddler: What weighs 3 ounces in a tree and is dangerous?

Robin: Of course Batman! A sparrow with a machinegun!
The awakening of the mind gives way to a world of possibilities.

Well, we're talking modern versions, and Batman isn't in the fight. That was really just a joke option. XD

Hah, old school Riddler's riddles really were off the wall.

Either way, I'm going with Riddler, because I like him more. Although Scarecrow would most likely win. Of course, Batman would beat them both, because Batman always wins.

Another modern Riddler puzzler was given to this one guy whom fired Edward Nygma in the Batman Animated Series:

"Forwards I am Heavy, and Backwards, I am Not. What am I?"

The answer was in the question: NOT spelled forwards is TON, which is 2000 pounds.

I agree that the Riddler's the awesomest of all enemies, but...

The Batman rules them all. XD
