Derek looks at his sister, "I am very much human, sis. Why do you ask? I mean, I just brought groceries, and I haven't encountered any vampires or lycans out there that I know of...."

[Queen Octavia]

As Steve walks by this conversation on his way out, he can only shake his head an mumble, "Vampires and werewolves, honestly...". Throwing around words like that would probably just get this maniac killer thinking he was some sort of mystical being. Steve was surprised that there weren't more sociopaths in a city that treated people like dirt.

[Kris_Roth]

Derek comes into his sister's apartment. "Shut the door, Kay, and lock it. Something very bad is happening out there. I've been trying for weeks to get us a better place in this city, but the jobs are really bad. Either they don't pay enough, or they have no health, medical, dental, or insurance, or I'm just not interested in menial labor at the moment." He sighs. "I got food stamps, so I got us pizza and some other stuff to eat." He gets a paper he bought about "Face Off Strikes Again!" screaming across the headlines. "What are going to do?"

We have enough supplies to last a few days but I don't reaily know.

ooc: the idea of the world of darkness is that an everyday person's life gets turned upside down

As you sort through the groceries a shiver runs down your spine...litteraly, it's freaking COLD!and it seems to be coming from outside the apartment complex.

Steve: as you exit the apartment complex, you notice that due to the heavy snowfall last night, the streets are bare, and dark is on it's way...a little early by your watch actually! As you pull your jacket up around you you see a dog down the street, just staring at you, panting. For some reason you can't see it's breath as it does so. It begins to walk toward you and as it does the windows begin to frost beside it.

Why is it so cold? I have the heater on 80 degrees.

[Queen Octavia]

"Whoa...nice doggie..." Steve says as he keeps eye contact with the beast. Steve slowly backs away to the apartment door.

"@#%!* keys...come on...." I fumble turning the key in the apartment's exterior door.

[Kris_Roth]

Derek shivered a bit..."It's unusually cold here. Usually, we'd be all ready for baseball season and softball for church....is this global cooling or some new Ice age?"

You try to put the keys in the hole, but the hole is covered in a layer of ice, so as that only someone from inside could open it...

Teenager (state a name dangit): as you touch the mask a chill runs through you and you hear voices screaming.

back to steve: The dog closes in when suddenly a flash of fur leaps over your head and begins to fight the dog.

"I knew this was a dog eat dog world, but man..." I comment as I give up on the door. "Well, I hope whichever one wants to eat me less wins, I guess. Or maybe the winner will be too beat up.... What is going on here? These dogs on roids? And what's with this weather? POS news forecaster...." I mumble to myself.

"HEY! Someone let me in before I'm dog food!" I shout to the building.

Having heard Steve's shouts, Ken cautiously opens the door, "Just what the hell is going on here?"

I jump in and slam the door and tell you to look outside, as I slump against the wall in relief.

"Thanks a bunch man, I owe you one. Name's Steve."

[Baku Genkaku]

you see the dog fighting with a large huminoid wolf...thing....it's obvious what it is but it seems too unreal to comprehend. As the dog bites at its oponent the skin on the werewolf freezes around the bite. The wolf-man does a combination of a growl and a howl and rips the dog off. The dog slides on the ice and lands on a manhole cover, and it looks like the wolf smiles. The werewolf howls and the manhole cover warps to a mangled mass as he does, twisting the dogs leg, and making it fall into the sewers. The Werewolf leaps down after it.

"No problem, I'm Ken...what in God's name?!" he shouts when he sees the wolf beast leap into the sewer.

"What number do we call for this again? Homeland security? Poison control? The heroes of light? Screw this, I'm going to go get an aspirin. What apartment do you live in? I might drop by later if we haven't all been turned into smurfs or something. I knew my horroscope would be right today, it was either a confrontation or maybe I should rethink one of my opinions..." I mumble as I walk away.
