The blue potion just seemed to draw Jeff close to it. It was so enticing with its cool blue crystalline glow.

That was the one. She had to have that one regardless of what it did. It was just sooooo sparkly.

With some trouble she lifted it off the shelf and dragged it over to the counter, laying down a single gold coin for it, and fluttering out of the store to a nearby bench to lay her stuff down and drink the potion.

After some struggle in getting the cork off, she managed to open it up and guzzle it down in a few gulps. There was a brief pause before in activity, but then in a jiffy, Jeff had a growth spurt, and grew to regular human size for her age out of her tiny fairy clothing and lost her wings.

Fortunately the bench she was sitting on was in a small corridor just off to the side of the potion shop so noone saw her sitting naked.

"What the heck? Is this all it does?" Jeff wondered. Not that she wasn't grateful to be regularly sized again, but she was still the incorrect gender for her.

Suddenly, as if out of nowhere she began to cough. As she sat the coughing got more and more violent, the point that she could hardly breathe. She couldn't quite understand what was going on. She stood up to try to leave, but fell over flat onto her face when she tried to move her legs. She looked down at them...and they were beginning to stick together, and slowly, very slowly, her entire lower body was turning green and scaly. Her feet disappeared and a fin appeared in its place.

Now she understood why she couldn't move, and was unable to breathe. The potion had turned her into a mermaid. She couldn't spend time thinking about it though. She had to find some water quickly...or she could go back to the potion shop and grab a different potion.

She had to act fast though. She was starting to suffocate.

Quickly as she could, Jeff crawled and sprawled across the floor of the mall, attracting a few stares as she did so, but she didn't care. She had to reach the potion shop again before she suffocated.

Soon enough she found her way back to it, scrambled back to the clearance shelf and without bothering to ring up the potion, with her last ounce of strength guzzled the nearest potion she could grab in one gulp.

The witch at the counter pointed to a sign just above her head lazily which read: "Hey! You Gotta Pay For That!"

With that, Jeff passed out.

When Jeff awoke she once again found herself in the back alley she originally hid in beforehand...and she could breathe again.

"Oh, thank goodness...." She groaned, breathing a sigh of relief. She got back up, noticing her legs were once again back to normal...But what was strange was as she left she didn't attract any stares for walking about naked.

....But then she couldn't really notice that...as it felt like someone had cranked up the sun. DAMN, was it hot....or........maybe....

She looked in her gold pot...and found that she had one less gold piece in her stash...and lying in the alley was the bottle from which there used to be a potion...it now dripped an orange liquid from it.

She darted to a nearby fountain and looked at the reflection, and she saw an orange furry face staring back at her. The potion had made her into an anthromorphic cat-girl.

Jeff wondered how she missed the tail...that really shoulda tipped her off.

So what now?

A. We ain't leaving until we get this form straightened out. Back to the potion shop.
B. Forget it. We're wasting enough time as it is. Let's just go to another shop.
