(I don't think this critter's origins or abilities need to be explained. The plushie version of this creature can power itself by draining life energy, negating the necessity of the pullstring. As a result, pulling the pullstring causes the Metroid to grow into its next stage of maturity)

My own, I generate energy and can imitate any type, wavelength, frenquency, and so on of any energy I encounter. Plus I can injest just about anything for a boost.

Ever considered setting up a small reserve that fills by pulling in geomantic type energy? Also, have you taken the precautions of making sure your energy is corrupted or tainted in a way so that only you can use it? If not, try to remember that some creatures pull in expended potential energy and the like from their targets.

*chuckles* I'm an obsenely high end energy manipulator. I use the ambient surrounding energy, and even my opponents own blasts and the like without even bothering to take it into me, so most corruption effects fail to apply, and I don't have to worry as much about expending my reserves. I also have plenty of backup methods for when I'm in a pinch, but those are usually for mid battle, anything else and I just have to wait for my reserves to refill.
