Pirates ARE brigands, for the most part.
Vikings were some of the earliest pirates; seafaring warriors who made their living pillaging and stealing.

I'd be silly to warn you against collecting them all. You probably won't get the happy ending and learn some moral, as you would at the end of a Pokemon episode. Although I hardly know why anyone would want anything with as much toe jam as my toes have.

I was just wondering since they did settle in England, didn't they? Or at least spent a lot of time on the land, fighting whoever was there at the time. It has been a while since I've learned anything about the history of the vikings, and my memory's bad, so nothing specific is coming to mind. I may be getting the vikings mixed up with another tribe of peoples, probably "barbarians", that were brought to Britain and hired as mercenaries. But the cost began to become too high and then one of those classic cases happened, that involved a woman or the differences in racial or religious status between a new couple, and the hired mercenaries eventually overran the island. Or something. I just know that, at some point, the vikings spent most of their time doing what they did on land. So I tend to think that pirates do the same, only it occurs on the sea or in port towns/cities more often than not.

No true Spammaster ever expects a happy ending. Those are boring and predictable. I expect a severe and ironic karmic backlash that would teach most people a lesson, but in my case only escalate the cycle of petty revenge!
