Apartment Complex

[Teddy]

"I don't mind whatcha see on me... It's what you mind seein' on me." He finished, then patted her leg. "Is that allright?"

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise nodded, a quick, rapid movement, cheeks getting a bit pink at the pat. "Yes, that's... that's very good...." Impulsively, she twisted around to lean in and give him a quick hug. "Thank you," she said softly.

[Teddy]

He gives her a small peck on the cheek before she moves away. "It's not a problem, really. You needed it done.. We can stand on our own, but we're stronger standing together. Or somethin' like that."

[Mistress Guendolen]

Her smile got wider, and she gave him a quick peck in return, catching just by the corner of his mouth. "I guess you have a point there," she said. "As much as you try to stand on your own two feet, sometimes you do need a hand.... And who better to do that for me than you?" Her cheeks flushed a touch, hoping this wasn't too bold, but she wasn't about to retract the words.

[Teddy]

"And I for you.." Genno stared at her for a few seconds, looking deep into her eyes.. And then, his stomach gurgled. "...Awww.."

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise laughed, even as her own stomach growled in unison. "Well, looks like some aspects of nature don't wait for people to have 'moments,' do they?" she said playfully. "C'mon, let's go get something to eat and find you some clean clothes. We can- um- pick this up later...."

[Teddy]

Genno chuckled. "Ah.. Allright. Whatcha like to eat? I may be able to cook somethin' up when we get back." He leapt up, brimming with energy.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Hm. I think the issue is more what I don't like to eat, in all honesty," Elise said, reaching for her shoes. "For breakfast- well- I like pretty much anything you'll offer me. Except those weird eggs with peppers and onions in them." She made a little face. "That's too weird.... I like other eggs, though, and pancakes, and French toast.... Mmm, French toast...." A happy little smile crossed her features. "I... think you can guess I've got more than a bit of a sweet tooth...." She finished zipping her boots and got to her feet, grabbing her handbag. "C'mon, let's go!... And I didn't know you could cook. Guess I've got a lot to learn about you, huh?"

[Teddy]

"Well, I can heat things up without much of a problem, and that's half the battle... And you don't like omelettes? You're weirder than I thought." He laughed, then looked back at her. "You're different.. That's one reason why I love ya."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"I never said I didn't like omelettes!" she said, even as she flushed happily at hearing him say he loved her, again. "Just not the ones with peppers and onions in them. The ones with bacon and sausage are yummy. So see, I'm not too weird!... And look at me. I love a guy who can cook things without ever having to use a stove!" She hooked her arms through one of his. "As useful as that is, it's not exactly 'typical.' But I love you anyway!"

[Teddy]

"Heh... Quite a pair we make, then.. And.. I think I could go for some eggs." He opened the door and walked out with her. "..What is French Toast? You sounded like you wanted some."

[Mistress Guendolen]

She blinked up at him. "You've never had French toast? Really? Wow.... Well, it's a breakfast food, of course. You take thick slices of bread and dip them in a mixture of egg, milk, vanilla, and sometimes spices- me, I like cinnamon and sugar. You fry them up in a pan with melted butter until the egg is all cooked through and it's golden-brown and crispy on the outside, and eat it with butter, maple syrup, or other good stuff. It's so yummy." Her stomach growled more insistently. "Makes me hungrier just thinking about it.... Tell you what, when I get some I'll give you a taste. Okay?"

[Teddy]

Genno nodded, soaking up the information. "Sounds good to me.. I'll be sure to pick up everything ta make it." He looked around, then sighed. "Do you know where the market would be?"

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Um, I think I saw one down the street, actually." Elise shaded her eyes, looking around. "Yes, there's a... sign in the distance. Looks like a shopping plaza. We should find a grocery store there. C'mon, let's go. I'm starving! Which means we'll probably do entirely too much whim shopping...." She tugged on his arm, leading the way.

[Teddy]

Genno followed her. He didn't mind being dragged along, especially if it was Elise doing the dragging. "That's allright... I really don't mind having too much food."
