Manpuncher smiles as he lets his arm return to his side, probably drawing more attention to his well toned and tanned torso. Well, I'll be honest. It was more of a fear of the unknown thing when I first got here. I'm not used to seeing people with cat ears or tails, no one like that back home. That's why I call myself "Manpuncher", just a silly way of hiding my real name, should it cause some unwanted hostility.

Manpuncher rubs his head a bit and sighs. I have no idea why or how I got here but... Manpuncher smiles warmly at Guen, looking at her with sympathetic brown eyes. As long as I'm with such a nice "veteran" like you, I should be fine... Uh, sorry. I rambled a little there.

Rambled? Of course you didn't! I don't mind a bit. **is trying not to be obvious about checking out the tan** You don't know how you got here? What was happening before you found yourself here, then. Maybe we can help. Not that I'm trying to get rid of you or anything! I just don't like the idea of someone who seems nice being lost. And don't let the people with cat features faze you. They're mostly harmless. Here, wear some yourself! **pops a headband with a pair of cat ears attached to it on his head, giggling** There! They suit you. Manpuncher pokes at the cat ears on his head curiously before shrugging. Uh, thanks. Guess I blend in with the local people like this. As for what was happening back where I came from... well, nothing really. I'm just your average joe from a little country known as the UK. Not sure if you know the place since this area seems like Earth or at least, a similar version of it. I wouldn't worry about sending me back, it's not exactly a place I long to go back to as you can see from this. He pats his gun that is sticking out of his jean's pocket. That will probably explain why I am topless too, this place has much better weather than back there. Rains all the bloody time...

Oh, I know about the UK! I must admit I've always wanted to visit there, in fact. But I've heard about the rain and chilliness, yes. This place must be pretty warm by comparison, huh? **another quick, subtle glance at the tanned chest** I really do think you'll like it here. It's a fun place, and people tend to be friendly. Everyone here so far has been nice, right?...

Well, yeah I guess they have been. Getting hugged out of nowhere is a good thing, right? Though I hope you don't mind me saying you're one of the nicest people I've met so far. And besides... Manpuncher looks around a bit. What happened to those guys? I'm sure this place was crowded a few moments ago.

I am? Really? **blushes a bit** Wow, thanks.... As for our companions, they must have all gamboled off. Cat people do tend to be easily distracted, as a whole. They're whimsical. Looks like it's just us, for the moment....

Manpuncher nods. Yeah, seems like it. He looks down at the ground for a few moments before looking back up at Guendolen. I know I don't really have much authority to ask but, could you tell me a bit about yourself, Guen? I'll understand if you'd rather keep it to yourself, we only just recently started talking to each other after all. I should've done it sooner... Manpuncher gives a small smile to her.

**shrug** No, not a problem. We're hanging out here, aren't we? I'm not offended. C'mon, let's sit down. **settles onto a bench and pats the spot next to her** Okay, let's see here.... In what we call the "real world"- the world outside here- I work as a proofreader in a law office. Not too exciting, but hey, it pays the rent. Here, I'm more of a freewheeling fashion designer. I'm very literary- love to read and write, and draw of course as well. Big anime fan, and I'm also a red belt in Tae Kwon Do. That good for starters? **return smile**

Manpuncher hesitates for a moment before giving a "What the hell, nothing bad can happen, right?" shrug and sitting next to her on the bench, listening to her with a smile as he looks at her.
A red belt in Tae Kwon do and a fashion designer? Sheesh, you sound more useful than my stupid arse. I was only doing grunt work back home and here, I have no real job other than to stay alive. Manpuncher chuckles at that sentence. But yeah, that's a good start.

**gives him a poke** You're not stupid. And it was a while before I found my place here; for some time I was just sort of wandering and freewheeling. You'll settle in too. Don't talk down about what you did. All work needs someone to do it, right? Just because it's physical work doesn't make it any less valid. And if you feel any better, I've only had the red belt in question for a few months.

Manpuncher looks a little shocked from the poke and the little lecture but his quickly lightens up again with a chuckle. Well, you're right. I'm sure I'll find a purpose here it's just that where I came from we tend to be miserable people, we don't accept praise much, probably linked to the weather or something like that. He shrugs. I don't mind your red belt status unless you're planning to beat me up or something. He does another laugh.

(OOC: Sheesh, I feel bad for fleshing this guy out now because as soon as this thread dies, he will never see the light of day again since I already have someone similar as my main character anyway, oh well.)

**joins in the laugh** You're in no danger, trust me. Tae Kwon Do is a defensive art. I won't beat you unless you attack or threaten me first. And I don't see you doing that. So you're all good!... And if the place you came from can be miserable, well, now you're somewhere that's happier. Enjoy it with us, okay?

OOC: Why can't you use this guy more? He can be a roleplaying persona, if nothing else.

Manpuncher smiles happily at Guen. Thanks, tell you the truth, this place is way more appealing than back home and there are quite a few interesting people around... even if some of them scare me a bit. The smile fades on his face as he looks elsewhere, rubbing his head with a sigh.

(OOC: Oh the reason I say that is because he's like I said at the start of this thread a different version of "David". He basically has all the looks and some of the his skills with none of the issues and problems, just a comedy name and something to mess around with for places like the muffin room. Well, guess I can keep him around after all!)
