Hey, I have good reasons for hating alchohol. I lost my best friend (and nearly my sanity) to a drunk driver.

But anyways, I'm just amused by the overall reaction, it's nothing against the people that don't like alcohol, it's your choice. It's just the 'one-sided'-ness here is amusing.

Yeah, you think it's funny, don't you? Guess what: I don't.
That's not even what pisses me off the most. It's the fact that all the druggy got for punishment was a week in juvie, a month suspended licence, and probation.
What did I get? I got one less best friend, who I've known my entire life, half of my sanity, (goes off and on) and two fingers amputated.
You watch them drag your best friends bleeding body from a burning car, nearly broken in half, and tell me you don't go a little crazy. (Plus, I got my head hit really good.)
On top of it, I was treated to the sight of a third car with a little girl and her mother. The little girl was crying and holding the broken corpse of her mother.

Think it's funny now?

But sugar is hardly the cause for all diabetes cases. You can get it from being pregnant, being born (I believe), or from a host of other things.

I mainly meant that in respect to the way a person can die of diabetes because of too much sugar in their blood. When it becomes too much, it's toxic and can do a whole bunch of happy stuff to your body.

I wouldn't say that everything would be a poison in large amounts, either.

That just depends on how "poisoning" is defined, I guess. I won't pretend to be the expert on that. Google search, anyone?

Lots of things would probably kill in a lot of non-poison ways, or at least cause problems. Such as drinking too much milk and not emptying your bladder often enough... Stones! @_@ And you may get some bone deformities if you're still growing... I don't know the specifics there. Too much water will either cause your body to retain the amount that it can't work fast enough to put to use or, in other cases, too much water makes you drown. ;p

Yeah, that's the spirit! And if you breathe too much air, or specifically, oxygen, that can cause problems as well. Hyperventilation, anyone?

And then there's the lovely mad cow's disease... If you happen to eat enough beef (or other things, really) with prions in it, you will be doomed.

That's generally what I'd say about cigarettes as well, but cigarettes are known to have other things that people call "poisons" as well. Dunno about that either. XD

And most people know not to drink the stuff under the sink. XD But not everyone knows to wash vegetables being eating them, to make sure there're no pesticides and stuff on them.

The world is fraught with peril! Like getting too drunk to have the the mind to limit how much more you drink. As for me, perhaps my poison will be the mercury in the tuna. Who knows?

Indeed. Though, hasn't mercury in general been an issue with poisoning foods, especially from the sea? That stuff doesn't break down at all, and even small amounts can do some terrible terrible things to the body.

Do I think your friend dying because of a drunk driver is funny? Nope. Never said that.

Do I think the negative and one sided responses to a simple poll asking a simple question about eating Beer and drinking Pizza is funny? Yes, yes I do.
