Superhero Power Dilemma

Postby Nylena » Sat Jul 07, 2007 5:21 pm

An ancient Hindu God shows up on your doorstep one day and asks if you would like to be a superhero and fight for good using powers he will give you. Now here's the problem. You must be....Swastika Man/Swastika Woman. You will have great powers but will have to deal with the burden of bearing the most hated symbol since the mid 1930's. The swastikas are all facing the right direction and are not inverted, of course. Not that any normal person knows the difference.

So, do you agree or not agree to the task?

And she won't let go...." - Blue Oyster Cult

I don't see why I wouldn't agree. I think that I would have enough time to enlighten enough people in both words and deeds as Swastika person so there becomes a great enough distinction between one Swastika and the other. It would be the same if some Pagan deity came to me to make me Pentacle person, which isn't the inverted star that is called the pentagram.

The swastika is an old symbol tied to a good deal of good and decent things. It was also the symbol of Thor if I recall, also a sign for good luck. Sadly those Nazi's tainted the symbol a long time ago. Even so, I would accept I think. I am secure enough in my knowledge of legends and old folk lore to not be so worried by it.

Yes, although possibly only so I would become an instant legend on 4chan. Well, flipped photos of me, anyways.
