Jack pulls the tray out using an oven glove and sets them down somewhere, looking thoughtful again "She seemed sad just now, did I insult her?" he shook his head and smelt the tarts himself, damn they smelt good. These should help her mood.

Just help yourself though you might want to let them cool a little first, the custard in this case isn't really as er... "custardy" as custard usually is... Uh, just try it.

She started to pick one up, then pulled her hand back. "Ow! Man, that's hot.... I'll let it cool a second first, okay? It's never fun to burn your mouth, after all!" She fanned the tarts, as though expecting this to help them cool off faster.

Jack chuckles a little at Guen's expense. Could stick them in the fridge, they're just as good chilled.

"Oh, yeah, we could do that, couldn't we?" She opened the door, shifting around the contents to make room for the tray. "There, all set! How long will they need, do you think?"

Jack shrugged. Another few mins? I'm not sure, personally I don't mind so long as you find that they taste OK.

She squeezed his hand reassuringly, saying happily, "I fully expect them to taste more than okay! I'm sure they'll be great." Her tail wiggled a bit.

Jack blushes as soon as Guen squeezes his hand and could not help but blush as he looked into her eyes. I uh... Yeah.

The blush made her giggle, ducking her head a bit. He just looked so darn cute when he did that.... She'd always had a soft spot for guys who blushed. One who blushed while being this sweet- and attractive- well, she was surprised she wasn't putty right now. "Of course it'll be great. You did a wonderful job with the rest of it!"

He blushes some more and flicks his tail a little as he looks at Guen and suddenly, gives her a hug. T-Thanks...

She blushed a bit, momentarily startled by the sudden movement, but returned the hug. "You're welcome." Her tail swished back and forth, a happy movement. This hug felt really nice, it did....

Jack hugs her for a while and lets go, blushing again as he looks into her eyes. Don't know about you but I bet those custard tarts aren't as hot as you are right now. *Good god man, what are you saying?*

Her mouth dropped open a little, eyes getting big. The blush deepened. She stuttered a moment, staring at him. "I- I- oh, wow, I-" She was utterly speechless. It was wholly unexpected, what he'd just said. Not bad by any stretch of the imagination, but definitely not anticipated either....

I uh... Sorry, er... I think they're cool enough now! Jack rushed to the fridge, red as an ripe tomato as his ears and tail start twitching madly.
