For the past few months, quiet advertising for the Upton & Upton Mineing Company has been spreading around. They usually run something like this.

Seeking employees! UUMC is looking for able-bodied workers of the ages of 18 and up. No previous mineing knowledge is needed, but applicant must be willing to learn and adapt.

Applicant also must be willing to spend extended time cut off from the normal community, and must be either confident about working with heavy machinery... or ready to accept janitorial, office, cooking, and other positions available.

This was the perfect job in his eyes: no experience needed, long hours, and no experience needed! Jared wasn't the brightest of people...but he wasn't weak that's for sure.

((For the sake of avoiding repetition, lets say you all called and found that to apply you need to present yourself in a small UUMCO building in the outskirts of town. It seems to have not existed at all a few months ago.))

Leon had recently called the number, and went to the place it indicated, on the date indicated. It was a quite small office, right on the outskirts of town, so it was a bit surprising...

"So this is the big and amazing Upton And Upton Mining Company...? Must be just some small side office, this can't be their true office.... Unless I had the entirely wrong perception of what this place is going to be like... Maybe it's one of those small companies where they only need two or three people to do everything, but the loss of even one person can completely stall their operation...." He thinks to himself, wondering why he's even staying out here. But then remembers that it's because everywhere else has rejected him, and this place is his last chance at living a somewhat legal life.

Kevin drove to the small UUMCO building in an old car he had. He peeked out the window. "Well... time to get this over with." He said as he got out of the car.

Jared had walked his way to the UUMCO building...hell it was a long way to walk, but he didn't have a car.

He had a forged ID and a BSed resume that detailed his workings in a musical store, lifting pianos, carrying boxes...that kinda grunt work. He walked up to the door as there were two other people walking up. Not once did he look at them as he walked into the door...he had to be dignified...whatever that meant...
