Lucas, Largo, and Hayate

Postby Lucas » Thu Nov 08, 2007 3:28 pm

Name: Lucas Akume
Alias: “The Sword of the Azure Flame”
Class: Chaos Knight/Belkan Mage
Species: Demon Hybrid
Gender: Male
Age: 22 years old
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 165 lbs
Skin: Pale
Hair: Silver
Eyes: Crimson
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Character Description:
Lucas typically dresses in casual clothes unless he needs to kill something, in which case he summons a full-body suit of golden plate mail armor (picture Gilgamesh from Fate/Stay Night) out of subspace.

Character History:
Lucas is a young demon (very young, by their standards) from a netherworld formerly ruled by Rei Akume, the Maverick Overlord. In his youth, Lucas was identified as a having natural talent as a swordsman and was adopted into royalty as one of Rei’s vassals. He served faithfully until the fall of Rei's netherworld.

He never learned that he was, in fact, Rei’s firstborn son, and the heir to Rei’s netherworld.

More importantly, however, Lucas was united with Hayate, a human girl with a tragic past and immense magical power. Through Hayate and her exotic style of spellcasting, Lucas grew in strength as a Chaos Knight until he was nearly a match for Rei himself.

Inevitably, however, Rei’s kingdom drew the attention of other overlords with more power than even the mighty Maverick Lord could hope to match; specifically, he caught the attention of Overlord Zetta. Knowing from the start that the battle was lost, Rei ordered Lucas and his other vassals to retreat as he faced Zetta and his hordes of minions alone, buying them time to escape before Zetta could annihilate them.

Since that day, Lucas has sought to attain power great enough to strike down Zetta and avenge his lord. With Hayate backing him up and his hordes of loyal prinnies ready to die for him at a moment’s notice, he may yet achieve his goals.

Character Personality:
Lucas is generally very laid-back and easygoing when he isn’t fighting something, which he tends to do quite a bit. He is quite loyal to Hayate and usually kind to his prinnies unless they try to take advantage of his good will.

Lucas desires nothing more than to grind Zetta beneath his heel and rebuild his father’s empire over the flaming ruins of Zetta’s netherworld. He despises people who lord power over others and takes great enjoyment in taking such people down a few pegs. Above all else, however, Lucas is extremely loyal to Hayate (to the point where if she asked it of him, he would abandon his quest against Zetta and never think of it again), and regards Signum, Vita, Shamal, and Zafira as his extended family.

Character Powers:
Lucas is a Chaos Knight, a type of swordsman who uses magic to amplify his attacks and himself while in battle. His ability to wield his magic has enhanced greatly since Hayate introduced him to the concept of using a device to assist his control over his magic. Lucas uses a pair of armed devices called Buster Knuckles to use a variety of spells not available to Disgaea classes, like Sonic Move (a rapid-movement spell), Revolver Cannon (a powerful kinetic shockwave), Tank Shield (a strong omnidirectional shield), and a wide variety of others. His natural element is fire, and he is exceptionally talented with using fire-based and wind-based spells.

Minions:
Lucas has a large horde of prinnies under his command, most of whom are usually kept busy manning their stations on the Flame Haze. The only notable “minion” Lucas has besides the prinnies is Hayate, who usually stays on the Flame Haze with her adopted family, the Wolkenritter.

Character Inventory:
Feyrbrand: A powerful longsword Lucas created himself. A twist of the hilt causes the blade to break apart into a bladed whip, and a subspace pocket in the hilt contains a quarter mile of extra length and bladed segments. Lucas is magically bonded to this sword, and can direct Feyrbrand’s whip form as if it were a part of him. The blade is also coated with a lethal poison that paralyzes its' victim's muscles and internal organs. Lucas is immune to this poison, having used it on himself in controlled quantities before and built up a resistance to it. He also uses this sword as a power focus for many of his spells.

Buster Knuckles: Twin gauntlets Lucas uses to focus his magic. These gauntlets enable Lucas to use the vast majority of his spells and are integrated into his armor, which has a powerful shield spell similar in concept to a barrier jacket programmed into it.

Skeith: Lucas' personal starfighter, based on the frame of the infamous Vic Viper. Skeith is armed with a pair of laser cannons with power output approximately equal to a heavy turbolaser, as well as a pair of missile launchers that can fire a wide assortment of missiles, bombs, torpedoes and other armaments. It also has shields that can take quite a beating, unlike the ship it is based off of.

The Flame Haze: The flagship of Rei Akume's interstellar fleet, which Lucas and Hayate used in their escape from Rei's netherworld. This is Lucas' base of operations, a heavily-armed battleship capable of challenging entire fleets on its' own.

Name: Largo
Alias: “Great Teacher Largo”
Class: L33t Hax0r
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 22 years old
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 165 lbs
Skin: Pale
Hair: Reddish orange
Eyes: Brown
Alignment: Chaotic Good

Character Description:
Largo tends to dress in very ordinary clothes, but his outfit changes depending on which form he assumes.

Character History:
Largo was “born” when Lucas volunteered to be a guinea pig for the experiments of one of Rei’s Professors, experiments which happened to involve Jusenkyo water. Largo comes from a combination of springs, specifically the Spring of Drowned Zombie Hunter and the Spring of Drowned Hardcore Gamer. Lucas assumes this form whenever he is splashed with cold water, and reassumes his original form when splashed with warm water.

Character Personality:
Largo is energetic to the point of occasional hyperactivity and quite boistrous. He is immensely proud of his skills as a gamer and as a warrior, but always fights with honor even if his opponents do not. Above all else, Largo despises zombies and the undead and kills them wherever he finds them, though he has a problem with other Forces of Evil as well and will go out of his way to foil their plans in any way he can.

He'll also do practically anything for a beer, and tends to speak in an archaic language called 'leetspeak' from time to time.

Character Powers:
Largo is able to assume the form and powers of a variety of video game character (though he shies away from becoming female characters, and his hair and facial features never change), and acquires equipment to match when he uses this ability.

Minions:
None.

Character Inventory:
Largo’s inventory changes each time he changes his form, but he usually wears some form of armor and carries a wide assortment of weapons appropriate to whichever form he uses.

Name: Hayate Yagami
Alias: None
Class: Belkan Mage
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 15 years old
Height: 5’1”
Weight: 126 lbs
Skin: Pale
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Blue
Alignment: Neutral Good

Character Description:
Hayate is a young girl in her mid teenage years with dark brown hair and bright blue eyes. Her typical outfit consists of a black and white battle jacket over a black and yellow minidress, and a white balmoral. (It looks something like this)

Character History:
Hayate spent most of her early life as an orphan crippled with paralysis until what history calls the Book of Darkness incident, a drastic turning point in Hayate’s life. Possessed by a viral defense program in the aforementioned Book of Darkness, Hayate had to be sealed in eternal stasis in a space between dimensions to keep the program from destroying the universe, despite the best efforts of her friends to separate her from the virus.

Several years later, a mad scientist named Jail Scaglietti came looking for the legendary Book to use in his experiments, and accidentally released Hayate, resulting in his death. No longer suspended between dimensions, Hayate plunged into the universe closest to her, which happened to be Rei Akume’s netherworld.

Hayate was found and taken in by Rei and Lucas, and after several months of healing and recovery, Hayate managed to convey to them the origin of her illness. Rei and Lucas took a detachment of troops into the Book of Darkness’ item world and soundly defeated the program, placing it under Hayate’s control and curing her of her paralysis.

Several months after that, Rei’s netherworld was invaded by Overlord Zetta, and Hayate fled with Lucas and a large group of prinnies, stealing away aboard Rei’s flagship, the Flame Haze. Since then she has been able to resurrect her beloved guardians, and spends most of her time watching over the Flame Haze and its’ crew.

Whenever Hayate appears in a thread with Lucas or Largo, she speaks in orange text.

Character Personality:
Hayate is eternally upbeat, always looking for the best in every situation and always looking for ways to make a bad situation better. Though she is not specifically a pacifist, Hayate hates fighting and avoids it whenever she can, preferring to resort to diplomacy if at all possible (though she is plenty capable of defending herself if and when push comes to shove).

Character Powers:
Normally Hayate will assume her Dark Unison form on those rare occasions when she has no choice but to fight. This form allows Hayate to tap the full power of the Book of Darkness and bend it to her will. Her destructive power in this form is nothing short of titanic; Hayate specializes in wide-area attack spells, and can destroy whole city blocks as easy as breathing. She also knows a wide variety of other spells, including shields, status-inflicting spells, healing spells, and others.

In spite of this, Hayate loathes fighting and avoids doing so whenever possible; she only takes to the battlefield when the lives of Lucas or her guardians depend on her intervention in a fight, though she will fight to defend herself if she has to.

Minions:
Hayate is served by a quartet of elite soldiers known as the Wolkenritter, or Cloud Knights. These warriors are actually magical constructs created by the Book of Darkness to serve their master, but they possess both sentience and souls, and Hayate loves them as the family she never had.

The knights are led by Signum, a stoic and reserved girl who appears to be in her early twenties. Signum is mature, responsible, and rather quiet most of the time, but is very passionate about defending Hayate. Signum wields an armed device called Levantine, a longsword with chain-whip and bow forms, and speaks in violet text.

The youngest member of the group is Vita, a hot-tempered and confrontational girl who appears to be in her early teenage years. Vita is even more dedicated to Hayate than Signum is, and will go to insane lengths to protect her without a second thought. Vita wields an armed device called Graf Eisen (“Iron Count”) and speaks in red text.

Where Signum and Vita are melee specialists, Shamal, the group’s third member, is purely dedicated to support magic, a role she excels in. Shamal is even more mature than Signum is, and comes across as the adult of the group. Shamal is kind and compassionate, even towards her enemies, but will not hesitate to assist Signum and Vita when battling threats against Hayate. Shamal uses a boost device called Klaire Wind to assist her with binding, shielding, healing, and other types of support magic, and speaks in green text.

The last member of the Cloud Knights is Zafira, a ferocious guardian beast who protects Hayate with his incredible strength and skill in the martial arts. Like Signum, Zafira is stoic and quiet until a threat presents itself. He lacks the array of spells that his comrades can pull off, relying almost entirely on brute strength and speed to destroy his enemies. When the Wolkenritter do battle as a unit, Zafira can usually be found protecting Shamal. He speaks in blue text, and is the only member of the Wolkenritter who doesn’t use a device.

Character Inventory:
Reinforce: A fairly ordinary-looking book with a golden Celtic cross on the cover, Reinforce—formerly known as the Book of Darkness—amplifies the strength of Hayate’s magic tenfold and allows her to assume her Dark Unison form.
