(|Oie, a bit of a headache I've made myself here.... I kinda wanted you guys to handle taking the package and bringing it into your house to see just what it is. I'm sorry I wasn't clear enough in my post. I kinda rushed it out. >_>|)

Kris was watching television and it was his day off from work, unless the management at work were short-staffed and called his cell phone. He heard a knock on his apartment door. Checking the peephole, he saw a delivery driver with a strange package...He went to unlock his door to answer it. "Hello, what's this about?"

Alex rushes as quickly as he is able to the door, he smiles and takes the package, "thank you.." he pulls it quickly back inside and tears it open.

"Well let's see what is in this package." Allen says as he finishes signing the paper and tipping the Delivery Guy. He goes to his couch and Opens the package.

"Well this looks like fun." Allen says as he opens it the rest of the way.

"This looks so cool!" Allen says as he picks up the instruction booklet and starts to read it.

Collin takes the package and brings it inside. he drops it onto his kitchen table and opens it up.

"oh? helo.. yeah i'll sign..." I scribble on his clip board, take the package inside, set it on a table, and stare at it.
"what could this be...?" attempting to stare into it with X-ray vision, but with failure i searched for the address stamps. "well it is mine so i think it's safe to open it...."

I grab a knife and cut the tape sealing the box closed, off,and opened it.

(OOC: so what's there gonna be inside it? :O)

UPS Delivery Guy: I have a package for Mr. Kris Rothman?


Kris nods..."Yeah, that's me." He goes to sign for the package and gives a small tip (being low-income and all)..

Kris then thanks the delivery driver, and closes the door after the UPS guy leaves with a signed invoice and some tip. "I wonder what I ended up ordering off the internet....I never gave out my credit card info....that was a strange e-mail....should gave sent it to the spam files, but oh well." He opens the package up to see what is inside...

"Ah, so it is a package, I wonder what's inside?" Mel said as he signed for the package.

-For those who've opened the box...-

After opening up the box and emptying its contents, you find what appears to be a small booklet with a picture of two Earths, one the regular blue green combo and the other in a strange negative tone, on its cover. You also discover a strange headset of some sort; it seems to surround the entire head, excluding the face, and there are several several jack-in ports on the back for power and internet connection. There doesn't appear to be a visor or mike on the thing, strangely enough. What was its use?

"Hello (insert name here), and thank you for participating in this beta test of our groundbreaking game, Other Earth!" The booklet begins. "We at I-Corps are happy to finally release to you our pride and joy, but before you can begin testing the product, there are several guidelines you will have to go over...."

1. This product has been tailored to be used by you and only you. If someone or something else attempts to use it or tamper with it, there is a high probability that either the device will malfunction and/or damage the user.

2. Be sure to use the product in a safe and controlled environment. Events such as power surges, natural disasters, and interference with the device during use have been known to cause numerous errors.

3. This is a BETA test. There will be errors in the game, and you WILL have to fix them.

"Game information will be revealed once you log in, create your character, and meet up with one of our staff. Instructions on how to set up the game are listed below. We hope to see you soon!"

Step 1: Locate a comfortable area to play the game in. Make sure that you will not be disturbed during your experience.

Step 2: Connect the cords on the back of your headset device to the the nearest power outlet.

Step 3: Place the device on your head and secure it using the adjustment knobs on the sides.

Step 4: Switch the dial labeled "Power" to the on position.

Step 5: Relax and enjoy! Do not try to remove the device during the initialization phrase or you WILL experience severe errors in your gaming experience.

Kris looks the game over and reads the instructions. "I dont really have time for this new game, with my new job, bills, and all. Sorry, I'll have to try it out some other time. I have my priorities." He places the items back in the box, seals it up, and stores box and headset controller in a tote, and labels it "Do Not Open!"

*Allen reads the instructions Thoroughly. gets comfortable in his easy chair and connects all the cords and everything. He puts the Headset/Helmet thing on and just relaxes after turning the main device on.*

I wonder what this thing can do. No worries it's completely cool! Allen thinks to himself.

"hmm... a game huh...?" I follow the listed procedures, i was off work for the week, and have the house for a month to myself, so i sprawl out on the couch, and put the headset on.

Collin looks the stuff over and shrugs. He takes the box into his room and hooks it all up. He then goes to his door and puts a do not disturb sign up, just in case anyone came looking for him. He then sat down and put the headset on.

Kyo sighed as he stared at the recently opened box on his desk as he sat in his room. He had hoped for more of a realistic approach to dealing with his problem than some sort of video game. But, than again, perhaps this kind of thing was exactly what he had been looking for. They said that it would help him escape to a different world, and that kind of entertainment just may be enough to keep his mind off of his troubling schoolwork. Reading over the directions one more time, the Mizuki carefully set up the game in his bedroom. Picking up the headset, he examined it a bit more closely. Strange, he thought, no visor for a screen, and no microphone for communication. This is a curious game indeed. With his intrigue piqued, he placed the device on his head and switched the power to the on position.
