Alex takes the little package down to his room, he clears a place for the plug on a nearby surge protector sets up the little device and lays back on his bed. He then turns it on.

Biography: Mike’s life has been pretty typical. His parents split up when he was young. Both his parents remarried. He has an older sister and a younger half brother. His step dad is a pretty nice guy tho. He is close to his younger half-brother. His first videogame system was the original Nintendo and since then he has loved gaming. He graduated from high school of course and went to a technical school having a degree in multi media and is getting a networking a degree. He just works and draws and tries to find a job.
Current Status: Kitchen crew member at a local restaurant part time student.

Mike sits half asleep in front of his computer bored near when the door bell ring. He stands up and walks down to the door answering it seeing a UPS guy with the package. “Hello?” He signs for the package. “Thanks have a nice day.” He closes the door and heads back up to his room setting the package on his desk. “Hmm I wonder what is inside? It could be a bomb. That‘d be kind of cool” He opens the package looking inside.

He ignores the booklet at first and trying to figure out how to hook up the headset. “hmm guess I should look at the book.” He opens the booklet reading it. ”Whoa that‘s interesting…. Beta tester well that should be fun.” He hooks up the helmet laying down in his bed adjusting the headset then he clicks on the headset’s dial.

Shortly after you switched the contraption on your head to the on position, your vision of the room began to flicker. It was barely noticeable at first, but then suddenly the flickering began to fill your entire vision, clouding your ability to see. You couldn't even make out your hand if you put it in front of your face....

The flickering left just as quickly as it came, and you found yourself still in the same room as before. Everything appeared to be exactly the same as you left it.... Well, if you don't count that little blue ball of light floating in front of your face.

"Hello, and welcome to the Other World! I'm glad to see that you were able to enter the game without trouble!" The thing said.

"um, a talking blue ball? Sweet! Hello my name is Allen Schatsiek. Yes I was able to get in the game without any trouble. So far this is pretty cool!" Allen said.

OOC: I'm still in this...my job is going to be very hectic the next week and then it's Christmas vacation time. ICly, with my character working retail, there would be some days off. I assume I still would be able to log off if my character has to report to work and all that.

I squint at the blue ball to see if there's something hiding behind the light.
"hey there... yeah it appears to have started correctly...so what's up, what's the first step again...?"

Kyo blinked as the strange blue orb spoke to him. He had heard of advanced games, but this was amazing. It seemed as though there really was a blue orb floating in front of him. "Man," he muttered to himself, "these graphics and AI seem to be getting better and better every year." Than he addressed the orb, "Greetings to you as well. I suppose that your some sort of tutorial program?"

"Yeah, no trouble at all." Collin said. "So, what do I do next?"

*Allen continues to wait wondering what to do next.*

"Okay so now what?" Allen asked the Strange Blue Light.

Kris decides to try out the device after all; for he got a flat tire outside his home, and he had to wait for tommorrow to get help in replacing said tire. He got out the device from storage, and went inside his bedroom, and plugged it into a surge protector, and placed it on his head, laid down on his bed, sighed, and turned it on. "This better be good."

"True, I was, so what's next?" Mel said.

Mike looks around the room. "Hmm pretty good graphics really good actually I wonder how it is making this tho. Could it be scanning the room and projecting it into the device or is it taking this from my memories of it. Both those sound too complex for most computers." He looks at the floating ball. "And what big blue ball? Yeah it wasn't that complex."
