And still a common idea used today in many forms. And wouldn't you know... Most of them involve soldiers. Hmmmm.

No, Hitler had some great ideas and good speeches to enamor his followers before he dragged them into that whole "Holocaust" thing.
Historical accounts show that blind faith had surprisingly little to do with Nazism. Adolph earned his place as genocidal dictator.
You're probably thinking of Stalin.
But whatever conclusion I reach, no matter which way I come about it, will just be undone by the fact that I think I'm rarely right. Which means I'm most likely wrong. So if I think, "Snow Dragon's always right," then I'll likely conclude that I must be wrong and in need of a new insight.

And yet, every conclusion you ultimately reach involves me not always being right. If you'd toss aside your own judgment and accept MY judgment - which is always right, by the way - in defiance of your own, then you'd be better off!
You think you're in a catch-22, but you're totally not.

That is who I was thinking of! History is dumb, I don't care to know about it cause I don't intend on being stupid and attempt to take over the world or cause global conflict.

Snowy:

Then let me put it like this: I'm wary of things that are too good to be true. :P

Stellar:

History's not dumb. ;p It's a source of knowledge, and knowledge is power in whatever form it may take. Heck, if you can win a million dollars through trivia, it has got to be good for something. XD;; Of course, what it is, is a double-edged sword: you can just as well use the knowledge for "good" as you can for "bad."

The only dumb thing about history is not the history itself, but those depicted in history. Otherwise it's just boring, I say. Bleh.

Of course it was.
Haven't you heard? I'm always right ^___^
Then let me put it like this: I'm wary of things that are too good to be true.

That's your own judgment, which you obviously don't trust.
Here, let's substitute it with mine: Things that are too good to be true usually are, but I'm not too good to be true. Why, even though I'm right about everything I make assertions about, I don't make assertions on many subjects that I might not be right about.

If I was right all the time, the world would be filled with utter bollocks for the laws of physics...which although fun in itself would not be a good thing

If I was always right, humanity would be a depressingly horrible race, exhausting its life moving around like parasites and destroying the places they call home, yet alone other peoples' lives, in an effort to better their own.
Oh...wait.
