Don't really know where to put this...

Just a random thought that came into my head while playing the new Super Smash Bros. game that's out for the Wii. ^_^

What about a MSF Smash Bros. Brawl game, speaking hypothetically of course? What kind of character would you be? Would you be a fast striker, or a heavy brawler? What special moves would you have? Perhaps some kind of projectile weapon, or maybe a direct hammer to the face of your enemy. And of course, there is the all important Final Smash. What kind of move would you have as your ultimate attack?

A MSF fighting game.

I'd play Felina/Rowan/Ahab and transform between the three. (Ahab being the Violet Energy Nature spirit haha.)

Hmmm, Yar.

Standard Combat would be Rowan who uses items and thinky things and is generally weak but might bow you up with a landmine or use a flamethrower or something.

And Felina which would be like a very fast Zelda from Smash Bros Melee, teleporting around, hurling enrgy, using her Lightglyph.

Final Smash would have me turn into Ahab and waste the stage with a tremendous blast of violet energy, leaving everyone that wasn't KO'd a random copy of Felina, Caprice, or similar ditzy character until they die and respawn.

Ah... I was thinking of this earlier today. I'll do the two original Characters I use. I. E.: This Account.

Name: Matt
Type: Speed
Neutral B: Grenade(Similar to Snake's)
Side B: Author Snap(Creates an item to throw, like Dedede's Side B)
Down B: Shielding(Creates an item to protect himself, might deflect a projectile)
Up B: Author Boom(Creates an explosion around him, sending him upwards after taking some minor damage)
Final Smash: I'm the Hero of this story!(Does a combo similar to Link's, but if he misses he drops a TF Grenade that makes him female for the rest of the game)
Female Final Smash: Sexy Pose(Similar to Luigi's Negative Zone)

Name: Lure
Type: Tactical
Neutral B: Basic Shot(Fires a shot from her PSG-1 Sniper Rifle)
Side B: Electric Touch(Grabs the enemy and discharges energy from her arm)
Down B: Scan(A counter move similar to Marth's)
Up B: Rocket Boosters(uses rockets in her boots to hover, much like R.O.B.'s Up B.)
Final Smash: Lovely Shot(Leaves the fight and starts firing off shots from her PSG-1, similar to Snake's Final Smash, but with less boom)

I've actually been thinking about this for a while, but I was afraid people would think me a loser. I've got 4 characters here, so just bare with me.

Name: Hayata Cougar (I'm thinking of changing his name to Ti [pronounced "tie"], at least game-wise)
Type: Tactical
Default Attack: Dual Nodachi (swords)
Neutral B: Anti-Armor Rifle (power-range single shot)
Side B: Revolver Shotgun (short-range spread shot)
Down B: Plant C4 (one false step and BOOM)
Up B: Blade Blender (something like Link's tornado move)
Final Smash: Summon Darkness
Y'know that guy with red hair that looks like Hayata, but evil? (Check my character sheet, please; I don't have any good names for him) Well, he shows up with his enormous buster sword and wreaks havoc for a while before bringing Hayata back. Most of his attacks are explosive long-range melee attacks, and he's almost totally independent from Hayata.

Name: Haylie Carmichael
Type: Power/Speed
Default Attack: Claymore
Neutral B: BCU-MTG (her huge tank gun; explosive ranged single shot)
Side B: Dual Uzis (multi-shot short-ranged attack; not very powerful)
Down B: Style Swap (she splits her sword length-wise, making her faster, but less powerful, and then back together for power mode)
Up B: EMP (disables any traps or active items besides her own)
Final Smash: Divine Intervention
A sort of wild card FS. You get one of two characters, 50% chance each:
Amethyst: An angelic deity, one of God's angels. She appears and heals Haylie (and all teammates, if present) while dropping rare and useful items such as the Franklin Badge or Maximum Tomato. She can also be brought into battle if the player so chooses. She can fly and deal large amounts of damage.
Ruby (or Malfious): A demonic deity, one of Satan's special assassins. She's more like Hayata's Summon Darkness, holding a huge sword and dealing damage the whole way, though not quite as much; however, she can fly and occasionally drops offensive items like the Poison Mushroom or Bomb-Ombs.
Again, both are almost totally different from the main character, attack-wise.

Name: Master Ethin Yabbin
Type: Power
Default Attack: Dual Lightsabers
Neutral B: Force Push (charge-able)
Side B: Decapitate
Down B: Force Heal (up to 25 points per heal; must remain stationary, and must recharge for 10 seconds)
Up B: Force Wave (must recharge for 10 seconds)
Final Smash: Eagle of Light
Master, your ship is here. Ethin's huge battle cruiser, the Eagle of Light, hovers above the arena, laying heavy fire down on the enemies from above for a few seconds before taking off again.

Name: Jeid Larissa
Type: Speed
Default Attack: Light-Staff
Neutral B: Saber-Throw (I think this speaks for itself)
Side B: Force Dash (quickly runs and stabs the opponent)
Down B: Deflect (sort of like Fox and Falco's Reflectors)
Up B: Cork-Screw (if standing, she flies forward in a horizontal spin, dealing damage; if in the air, she goes in the direction the player chooses with the joystick)
Final Smash: Beam-Rifle
This sort of works like Zelda's Arrow of Light, but it fires twice and knocks them downward, so it's best to use it on enemies already out of the arena; the rifle stays charged until it's used, but loses power over time.

MUGEN? I'll do the sprites if others do the programming.

A what in the who now?

Are you talking about making a real fighting game?

I think it was a bit of a jest, but MUGEN is a fighting game engine that allows you to make a fighting game. I've made a stage before, but characters require more programming. In short, it's possible.

Hmm

Name: Joshua Ridge
Type: Tactical
Default attack: Various cooking tools
Neutral B: Heated Pan (Charge up attack, much like DK's Giant Punch)
Side B: Hot Water Toss (Causes acidic-like damage for a few moments)
Down B: Chef style. (Summons one or two food pieces)
Up B: Bubbling pot. (summons a pot under him which blows up, sending him upward)
Final Smash: Rock On! (Pulls out his guitar and starts to jam, music notes flying wildly about the screen, after the FS ends, he turns into Shjo.)

Name: Shjo Derig
Type: Speed
Default attack: Guitar axe
Neutral B: Note Jam (Fires out a singe musical note)
Side B: Dash Solo (speeds by, slashing with his guitar twice)
Down B: Song-Quake (plays a quick melody on his guitar, any oppenents around him getting damaged, 50% of burying)
Up B: Rift Stream (hops onto his guitar, riding it like a surfboard upward. Tip of guitar is pointed for damaging)
Final Smash: Freedom! (Shjo glows and shifts into his true form, and rampages about the stage, slashing/roaring/etc. After wards, Josh takes back over*

Name: Kaji Onizuka
Type: Speed/Power
Default attack: Hand to hand
Neutral B: Fire blast (works much like R.O.B.'s laser beam)
Side B: Fire Rocket (rockets forward, using his fire as rockets.)
Down B: Flame Aura (His aura explodes, damaging thoses around him)
Up B: Wing Burst (Large Red wings grow out from his back, allowing him to fly upward. But soon they will disappear.)

UBERLURKER

Image

Standard moves:
A neutral - Slash about rapidly with front claws
A-> - Single strong swipe with one claw
A->Smash- Pincer attack bringing both front claws together
A V - Biting lunge at the opponents feet
A V Smash- Powerful circular whirl using four legs, lashing out with claws
A ^ - Chomps at the air overhead
A ^ Smash - Stabs at the air with hind tail

Special moves:
B neutral - Spits out corrosive acid in close range, dealing damage over time if it hits
B V - If on solid ground, burrow. While burrowed, cannot be disjarred/launched by enemy attacks, but still takes damage to moves targeting the ground, such as low kicks. A + direction lauches sharpened spines, which have a powerful launch effect. Pressing B again unburrows, also must automatically unburrow to come up for air after ~7 seconds, and cannot burrow again for another ~15 seconds afterwards.
B-> - Rushes forward, trampling anyone in the way and pounding down on them with the powerful legs.
B ^ - Regenerate. Lasts until B ^ is pressed again. Regeneration heals damage over time, but while regenerating UberLurker's attacks are less damaging, and enemy attacks launch him further. Regenerate works while burrowed, and combining the two is a common tactic.

Aerial moves:
Nair - Punches outward with legs, slashes with claws, stabs with tail and bites with leg, damaging anything nearby.
Fair - Performs a headbutt
Bair - Kicks with hindlegs
Dair - Stomps with all four legs
Uair - Overhead claw swipe

Throws:
When grappling an enemy, they are held by the mouth, and attacking performs claw slashes
Down - Bodyslam. Long distance horizontal forward knockback.
Up - Smacks the opponent up with a flick of the head.
Forward - Twists around and smacks them with the back of the the tail, sending them flying.
Back - Flicks the enemy into the air, over the head, and smacks them away with the tail.

Play style:
Has a great initial jump, but no midair jump. This, combined with the lack of a B recovery move, means that once you start getting juggled into the air, its over for you. If you're send off the stage, you're not coming back. However, this is made up by the fact that the character is an extreme heavyweight, enemy attacks have little knockback (Unless regeneration is active) and UberLurker has a great recovery speed. Also, while not as agile as characters like Fox, he is still far quicker than any of the other heavyweights, and many of his moves are quite rapid and possess a good reach, damage and knockback (Some moves cater more to one of these than anyother, there is simply a good blend when you consider all the attacks as a whole).

UberLurker is unique in that he has two unique states: attack, or defense if regenerate if active. When playing as UberLurker the key is to be very aggressive, but then if the enemy overmatches you activate regenerate and retreat into a burrow. When playing against UberLurker, staying at range is preferable, and if melee combat is unavoidable try and make it mobile and evasive, for in a fair exchange of blows you will probably lose. When you have UberLurker on the run and he burrows into a regenerate, hang back a short distance save from his spine attacks. Then, when he unburrows, quickly close with him and finish him off.

FINAL SMASH : ZERGLING RUSH
A massive swarm of Zerglings unburrows all over the stage, and attacks the enemy players. Although easily launched away by enemy attacks, more will instantly rush in to chomp and stab the enemies. In a four-player brawl there may be survivors if they started off close to 0%, but in a 1v1 match the sheer numbers of the zerglings will certainly spell doom for the opponent.
