The moon landing

And no cop out options for anyone. Mwa-ha-ha!

Right now I'm leaning more toward it being faked. I'll hold making a choice until I look into a few things.

I think it really happened. I've never heard any credible reasons to doubt -- and both of my grandfathers worked on the Apollo project, one as a scientist, one in accounting. They weren't the ones who landed on the moon but if it were faked they and many others were kept awfully busy for nothing.

I'm in doubt for a couple of reasons. One of them is the environment, which I'm looking into right now. The other is the astronaut's movements under the moon's gravity, which doesn't look realistic at times. But, again, I'm looking into the details some more.

It happened. A few times.

Cause the people that did it were generally Eagle Scouts. That explains everything.

Yeah, that explains a lot. And given that you're a perfect example... And knowing how much fantasy you're involved with... I can see exactly what you're saying. :P

What? That you can't see what I'm saying, I can't see what you're saying, or both? *_*

No, I saw the egotistical meaning behind what you said. Which was why I interpreted it in another direction. :P

I'm 99.99 positive that my perceptions are firmly rooted in reality, despite me liking Science Fiction and Reality, with a possibility of error at 0.007 given a data set of 7330 measurements.

You drones will never convince me! Never! Not you and your eagle scouts, or the armed forces, schools, authority and mental institutions! Never, you understand!? Mwa-ha-ha-ha-haaaa! Never!

Birds can't change? That must mean the dinosaurs went extinct because no birds were changing back into dinosaurs. *nods*

Well, duh. Whoever speaks of de-evolution?

Anyway, the point is that the most exceptional are the people with the freedom to do what they do. I'm more likely to take someone seriously if they speak for themselves rather than however their mind had been molded.

But that's beyond the point of this topic, anyway. I was just having a bit of fun with Helel, whom doesn't like to play. ;/

Now, as for the topic at hand... After seeing some of the footage, I'm now sure that, at least in certain instances, the movement isn't believable. With the first moon landing, for example, I saw the bottom of the flag sway to and fro like it would on Earth. (And I'm not going to add the solar wind to my observations, since I'm still not sure if it would move the flag, which remains motionless afterward. And I'm still not sure even though it's responsible for comet tails pointing away from the sun even when said comet is moving away.) Another one worth mentioning is when one of the astronauts is down and it looks like they're being lifted, not by their legs or arms, but by something somewhere around the torso.

Of course, with nothing to compare against the gravity, it's hard to make an air-tight argument to begin with. But it just doesn't seem right to me, so... I'll be crazy and be the only one who says it's a lie. Mwa-ha-ha!

Engineers can do anything. Including catching birds. Or dealing corporal to cats.

Engineers can also have trouble finding work in their field.

I so went there.
