Fable: The Ties that Bind (RP Thread)

[Haylie]

They find what Keaton did: A veritable graveyard of Heroes and servants. Breakfast sits steaming in the next room. Above, the noise continues.

[Shadowmaster]

"Unbelievable...they must have caught them completely off guard." Lyon says.

[Kris_Roth]

Aloena nods, following Cletus and Lyon to the source of the noise. As they passed the breakfast area, her stomach growled..."Oh, not now, we have to find out who did this...You think this "Bane" guy is involved? What is he looking for in here?"

[muffinstud]

"I don't know, but he is thorough. Whatever did this is no pushover." Cletus follows the noise up the stairs, trying to remain quiet so as not to give himself away.

[Haylie]

They find Katt leaning against the wall, looking around it to the other side. She motions for them to keep quiet and points back around the corner.

"They're standing right there. I can't handle them myself. Any ideas?"

[Shadowmaster]

"We could attempt to ambush them." Lyon whispers. "An all out assault from us, though that would probably just get us killed."

[muffinstud]

Cletus scratches his chin. "If we only had a will user, we could try to cave in the ceiling above them. Why go through when we can go over?"

[Haylie]

Before Katt can shoot Cletus a reprimanding glance, another louder boom sounds from... the other side of the door? Even the Summoners around the corner look confused... at least as confused as three skeletal tanks with huge swords can look.

There's a brief pause, the the door is blasted outward onto the Summoners as a large blue figure dashes out to smack one on the head with its mace and a smaller red blur darts out to sever the head of another with an enormous flaming red sword.

The third, however, manages to slash Crimson in the back when he wasn't looking. This Summoner has it's back to the three, and Katt is already beginning to move.

Aloena sees the skeletal creatures and tightens her grip on her mace. "Okay, let's do this then...I just hope I can heal you two, and you two need to protect me, okay?" She was really scared about what those skeletal creatures would do to them if they failed.

[muffinstud]

"Quickly now, while those things are distracted!" Cletus runs up behind one of the summoners and Multi-strikes it in the back. There aren't any chinks in their armor that he can see, but he hopes a surprise attack will be enough to catch the thing off guard.

[Haylie]

The Summoner sort of... twitches with each magical "strike". It seems to have scratched it's armor, maybe knocked some of the rust off of it, but not much else. It pauses, then turns around, it's fiery eyes looking a bit more ticked off than before. It lifts it's enormous bloody sword with the intent of dropping it on Cletus's head.

Aloena sees Cletus being attacked by one of the summoners and points to Lyon, I think you and Cletus should perform a flanking manuever on it. That way, you can do a lot of damage on it. I will heal you, and if needed, I'll use my mace on it.." Just then, she runs up as best she can, and attempts to strike the Summoner about to hit Cletus. "Now, Lyon! Take it out!"

[muffinstud]

Cletus drops to the floor and rolls into one of it's legs. He lets out a primal yell and takes a good swing at it's other knee.

[Haylie]

The knee actually seems to bend backwards. It's not a very pleasant sight.

Aloena's strike is enough to distract the Summoner from it's broken knee--and therefore, Cletus. It turns toward her with the intention of backhanding her across the room.

Lyon runs behind the creature and strikes at it with his sword as it goes to hi Aloena.
