OOC: Hey, thanks for taking part Erin. See Dark, its not that hard, even if you can't think of everything right now, you can always add later. I will still need some time to write for everyone so you will have a good bit of time before we go. So Shadow, got any plans for Lyon?
Naarsa did not want to go into the camp. Such things were alien to her; the light, war, soldiers, bloodshed, all were things she did not know. Where was her home in reference to here? Such thoughts wandered through her head as she sat under the shade of a ruined pillar. How did people in this world deal with that bright thing in the sky? It was suffocating her entire being.
She, without knowing, started to curl up into a ball, trying to hid from the scorching desert sun when a hand on her shoulder made her jump. Looking up she saw the face of Garath, wearing a worried expression.
"Are you ok?" he asked
"Yeah" said Naarsa, "I'm fine."
"You're lying" said Garath, though not accusingly, "Something's wrong, I can tell."
"It's just...." started Naarsa
"You're scared?" asked Garath
"What?" asked Naarsa
"I would be." said Garath, "A different world, a changed body, being surrounded by something you've always associated with a painful death. I'm amazed you've been holding up so well."
"I just....I want...." Naarsa tried to speak but could not. Even as her words dies in her mouth, tears began to form in her eyes.
There was only one thing Garath knew that could help with something like this, something which any mother would have taught by experience to a child. Kneeling down, he wrapped his arms around the shaking girl, and embraced her in a hug. As he did the dam broke and the tears flowed forth like a torrent of silver as Naarsa wept with all her young heart.
"I just want to go home!" she cried, while Garath stayed with her, silent and doing the only thing he could.
