OOC: Ok, this is the best I could come up with. Dark, if you could try to be co-operative and not godmod (yes, you are just as guilty as all of us) then it would be helpful and we can put this behind us. All this has been approved and if you are in a state of "WTF!?" then the explinations shall be done next post.
The Grey Ranger grimaced as Mew materialised on the scene. "Damn it," she swore, "She just had to turn up. The Hybrids little soldier, I know I can't fight her, my only option is..."
She pulled out a strange capsule which when she broke it released a cloud of smoke and dizzying gas which disorientated the senses and obscured vision. By the time the smoke cleared, the woman was gone.
It was not long before Absol, Tina and Spi found themselves back in Leafcorral, standing outside the familiar house at the edge of town.
"So this is where you are living?" asked Tina
"Yes" said Absol, "No complaints."
The Grey ranger continued to run. She was tired, her limbs ached, but the adreneline in her veins let her continue. She knew that it would not be long before her little diversion back then would run out and she would be pursued again, so she had to get to the pickup-point ASAP.
It was not long before the town came into view. Leafcorral. She was almost there.
"Hey, Spi" called Absol, "Could you put the kettle on?"
"Ok" replied Spi
"Tell me, Absol" said Tina, "That child, have you noticed anything from her?"
"Well, given that it was you who left her with me" said Absol, "I have been rather open minded about the girl, but despite that, no, nothing much out of the usual for a ghost."
Suddenly, something caught her eye outside the window.
"Wait here" she said, "I have something to take care of."
*Insert Grey Ranger calling someone, telling them about her inability to get Casey, you would write this.*
"Well, what do we have here?" asked a voice, catching the Grey Ranger's attention. The speaker was a young woman with a slender build and long white hair, which was parted at the side by a long blade-like object which stuck out of her head.
"Damn it," said the Ranger quietly, "I'm getting way too many interruptions."
"You'll find that boy belongs here, in this town." said the white haired girl, "I would recommend you leave him where he is, before things become nasty."
"An Absol hybrid" said the Ranger, "I don't have time to deal with the likes of you."
"Very well" said Absol, "I don't know which group you belong to, but this is neutral ground. I'm afraid you are going to be leaving, now."
"I can't do that" said the Ranger
"Fine then." said Absol, taking up her stance.
The Ranger's scanner flickered as it took data from Absol. Type: Female Absol - P variety, Apparent age: 35, Style: Unknown, Speed: High, Physical: High, Defence: Medium, Energy: Low.
Even though the scanner could detect the girl's statistics, she had no other information on her. This girl was not on their lists as known hybrid agents for either group. If she was going to stand a chance, she would have to fight carefully.
In a flash, Absol was behind her, and it was only throwing the boy on her back that allowed the Ranger to avoid a direct attack. However, the surprise of Absol's assault wore of quickly, The Ranger was quick to take up her own stance. The pair exchanged blows and kicks like true masters, the human woman, through pure experience, was able to handle the attacks of her superior opponent. However, this did not last long, a surprise feint attack caught the ranger in the stomach, making her keel over.
"Now then," said Absol, "Let's take a look at you."
With one hand she removed the mask the ranger wore, revealing her human face. The face was familiar, but quite from where, was just beyond Absol's recollection. She did not have time to ponder though as a quick finger stand to the chest knocked the wind out her her and was quickly followed by a palm thrust.
"You're good" said the woman, "I'll have to pull out all the stops."
She pressed a button on her wrist and grimaced as she felt a needle stick into her wrists. The effect of whatever she had just done hit her hard as she gasped in pain, her arms almost literally twisting, her face changing and a strange glow slowly emerging from the center of her chest. As the process of whatever she did swept over her, her natural abilities increased, her strength, speed and stamina higher than any normal human's, even her voice seemed to be above human, almost as though there were two of her speaking in unison, giving her words an other-worldy distortion.
Taking a hold of herself, she locked her sights on her target with colourless eyes set on an inhuman face. It was at this point, Absol realised that had just happened.
"She changed herself!" she gasped, "She became a hybrid of her own doing! What the heck is going on here?"
The woman threw a punch at Absol with her arm which seemed to spiral and stretch, reaching quite a bit further than it originally did. With bullet timing, the dark girl managed to grab the fist from out of the air, mere centimeters from her face, and with the strength only a hybrid could have, swung the changed woman with all her might into the trunk of a nearby tree.
Meanwhile, from inside the house, Tina walked out. She had felt a commotion, and was compelled to investigate. Upon seeing the ghost girl the Ranger froze in her place. Taking the opportunity, Absol grabbed the woman by the throat.
"Alright, thats enough." she said sternly, "Start talking! Who are you? Who are you working for? What is your business with that kid?"
"You..." said the woman, "Tina..."
"How do you know her?" demanded Absol
"Absol...." said Tina, "I think..."
"Absol?" asked the woman, "So thats what happened to you. No wonder you weren't in our lists."
"Who are you?" asked Absol, although less forcefully this time
"It's me, Kate" said the woman, "From Team Rocket."
