Hikaru stares at Joshua's unconscious body for a moment, her golden eyes roaming over the girl's lifeless frame. Then, suddenly, she drops her oar and rushes over to Joshua's side.

"Let me have a try on her. I know CPR.... Well, at least one part of it." Hikaru bends down so that her face is next to the other girl's and tries to breath air into her lungs with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.... More of a passionate kiss, actually.

(wow. totally fell behind on this. sorry folks. i'll make it up, promise)

Heather ignores the "hairbraider" comment with a roll of her eyes. "Matt, I was just teasing you. Don't take it so seriously." She looks somewhat repentant.

Since Joshua was just out of it, not really at the brink of death and all that, Hikaru's "ministrations" should be more than enough to wake her.

Hilda takes a blanket and places it under Kimiko's head and then drapes another over her body to keep her warm. Now, instead of staring straight ahead, she is looking down into the wood of the boat. She never blinks.

And rightly so. For there is a great splash behind the boat, accompanied with many smaller splashes around it. The water creature has surrounded the boat with it's tentacles. Andy should notice that none of the tentacles have victims in them anymore. With how effective their attacks have been in the past, it seems like things are getting very bad very quickly.

(Boss fight time! You are surrounded by watery tentacles that just don't seem to want to go down. What will you do?)

Mike looked to everyone in the boat. "Well I hope this odd unconcious girl was worth the wait because we have company...painful company." this time he couldn't keep back his smile. He was right, first of all, about having to hurry and now the monster was back to do more horrible, terrible things to these boring people. Hopefully, though, the tentacles go for other people first...since he didn't really have anything to use against this watery menace.

Matt scratched his head as he laughed, it showed he had little or no expirience with women. As the tentacles appeared as if by pure instict Matt moved infront of Heather using his body as a shield. "You got to be freakin kidding me?!" he shouted as he knew they we're in a very dangerous spot. Out in the middle of nowhere in a small boat, one attack from the tentacle and they would either drown or freeze to death at night.
"Let me confirm, your shelter shield is activated?"
"What are you planning?!"
"Your shelter is secure, is it?"
"Of course it is! Just see for yourself how powerless you are!"
"...Roger that."

Indeed, Joshua did wake up, almost a spare moment before she was kissed.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" She shouted as she shoved Hikaru away. Oddly enough, she seemed a bit younger than when she had been pulled out of the water. It was probably just an error in the others' perceptions.

Only after taking a few deep breaths did the new girl notice the situation. "Does anyone know what's going on?" she asked nervously.
Hmm.... Does anyone actually read these anyway?

(So I'm assuming the thing's underwater...)

Andy bursts forward until she reaches the surrounded boats. Those still in the boats will see an impressive, very attractive blond female angel with huge wings glowing like a sun, illuminating the waters below, and hovering in midair as she tries to think of an effective way to deal with the beast.
"Okay, uh... God, this would be so much easier if I could see properly..."

So, lacking any better ideas, she flies around the boat in a wide circle, decapitating the tentacles as she went.

Adam looks to Joshua groaning sounding pained. "I wish I had the slightest clue." She turns seeing the tentacles raising around the boat her pink hair swishing over her shoulders. "crap... this is nuts. Now the dang water is fighting us."

Krystia summons her hammer and swings at the nearest tentacle. "Go away! Leave us alone!" She yells to the monster as she sees the angel girl show up. "Any idea on how to fight this thing?"

The three arrows fired by Tyler lodge into a tentacle with an impossibly solid thunk sound before they slowly sink into the water. The tentacle seems unfased.

Andy's efforts to swipe all the tentacles results in the first 3 getting sliced in a spray of foam, then the others quickly dodging out of the way of her circle. Whatever this thing is, it isn't dumb. At least there's only 3 tentacles left.

Matt begins to glow again, a soft golden light shining from his skin. Deep blue eyes and luscious blond hair compliment fuller cheeks and a less pronounced chin as his body regains its former unfamiliarity. Heather puts a hand over her mouth as Matt's clothes get baggier and his chest gets saggier. The light vanishes, but not before his last claim to manhood is taken away and replaced yet again with something else.

The other passengers can only watch as the head-like thing lashes towards the boat, making to swallow it entirely. Just as too-solid water is about to engulf everyone, Bill waves his hand at it. The creature makes a gurgling scream, showing a large, foamy gash that doesn't go away. Bill eyes the thing with determination. In his hand is an odd, curved blade of nothing. It hurts to look at it, partly because it seems to be fighting to not even be there. Bill takes a step, then speaks.
"Lay off. You're not taking this boat."

The creature hisses like a crashing wave, then dives beneath the surface, tentacles and all. It is gone. The black fog seems to be slowly lifting...
