"I suppose that will have to do..." Falkner says. "At least until we can get the Kanto gym leaders out of there...then we can fight back. I know it."

Nina sighs. "Anyway...enough history for now. I would prefer not to reflect upon the master's past deeds at the moment." she says. "Is there anything else you would like to do?"

[Sasha]

Shade thinks. " Can we just spend a bit of time together? I still a bit shaken up form last night."

Lily nods. " Sure but promise me if they get to bad you will let us know so we can get you all out."

[Tala]

"Ya, what about it?" Kai walks out of hte room and toward her trainer.

[AshK]

"That rest helped me a lot. Taht was a great battle! I certainly trained me well in a good number of my attacks."

Alana giggles a bit. "Oh, nothing. I just think that that's a really interesting transformation."

"Fine, fine..." Falkner says. "I'll let the other gym leaders know all about what you just told me."

[Sasha]

Lily nods and hands him an extra comlink she had with her. " Use that to call us if you need anything."

Shade smiles. " Ya."

[Tala]

Kai shrugs and leaves. She reaches her trainer and knocks on the door.

*Bianca is still watching TV while walking around. Wondering if Mistress Aiko will need her to do anything.*

"So, is there anything in particular you wanted to do, or anywhere you wanted to go?" Nina asks Shade.

"I will..." Falkner says. "I'm hoping they'll stay out of Johto, though."

At the same time, all four hybrids will hear the same thing in their minds. "Well, well, well. Some of #136's little pets have strayed a bit far from their home, haven't they?"

[Sasha]

Lily cruse. " dang it he knows we are here."

Latais growls. " Looks like we might have a fight on our hands."

Shade shrugs. " i let you choose."

"Unfortunately we do." Mel said.

[Gee-chan]

"That's the idea" said the man, "although, you will find that because of the need to satisfy the politicians and bankers, most of what goes on around here is not too out of the ordinary. Going back on topic," the man started to lead Professor Beech towards a lift, presumably the one he had just come out of in order to greet the visitor. "you mentioned hat we may have come across an interesting find. Do you think you could be a bit more specific? We make many interesting finds hers, as well as quite a few less than interesting discoveries. Did you know that Muk slime is no good as a glue?"

[Shadowmaster]

"Why would you wish to use that as glue?" Beech asks before shaking his head a bit. "Anyway, one of our allies told us about a rather interesting battle that happened yesterday, regarding an Absol hybrid and a human...and something that human did in that battle."

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. I would think little pets like you would know to stay within your territory..." the voice spoke to the group. Falkner is looking at them confused.

"What's going on?" he asks.

"Unfortunately, I wouldn't really know what to do. Much of my time is spent within the ice sector." Nina says.

[Gee-chan]

"You really don't want to know about that one." said the man, "Anyway, I presume you are talking about our little 'secret weapon'."

As he spoke the lift doors closed.

"I believe you are aware of the mechanisms of the hybrid alteration process." he continued, "It changes the body by overwriting the cells that compose it. Now, not may people know this but there is a single pokemon that does the same thing. While the first guess would be Ditto, that would be wrong as Ditto simply re-arranges the cells in it's body to imitate what it changes into. The pokemon we are referring to would be the illusive Deoxys. During one of the rare times it was spotted on the planet's surface we managed, with great difficulty to coax a tissue sample out of it. Upon study we effectively created a functioning organ which acted in the same way as the full pokemon did."

As he finished speaking the lift doors opened to reveal a vast laboratory. Machinery and computer systems were strewn about almost recklessly. The whole place was a hive of activity as researchers and assistants went about their business (or just socialising as was sometimes the case).

"It is not known outside of this laboratory that Deoxys reacts radically to certain combinations of electrical currents, light and sound frequencies. To this end it is possible to force the Deoxys body to switch between its different forms on command. On top of this, if done and sustained right, you can force it to revert to it's previous state. however, this only works within a certain time-scale. Our 'weapon' works by using a delayed form of the hybrid change to create a lesser Deoxys hybrid, then revert them back to human form afterwards. This lesser hybrid does not have the same kind of power that a normal Deoxys hybrid would have, namely a lack of the ability to switch between forms. We only use this as a last resort as it is risky. If we do not catch the user in time, the change completes and the ability to change them back into a human is lost."

The man looked at the professor

"I know you may disagree" he said, "but for many of our operatives, for various personal reasons, becoming a permanent hybrid is a fate worse than death. This is another reason we only use it as a last resort....and by using it first, it provides us a little loophole to evade conversion by other means."

[Shadowmaster]

"I understand completely. Many do not wish to be converted, and it should never have been forced on anyone..." Beech says. "In any case, using Deoxys was a very clever idea. I have heard of certain waves that eminate from space being able to change it's form, but that was supposedly the only way, and there was no real way for humans to effect Deoxys in such a way... And you may have found the first step in a reversal for the process. If we can expand on your idea...there may be a way."
