Loli's Curse: The Roleplay

Postby Rena » Sat Mar 21, 2009 11:00 am

There wasn't any choice. That's the justification Allison, and in turn, David, used as they lead a group of their friends into that eerie looking mansion perched atop a hill in the middle of absolute nowhere. Well, both vehicles that the group was using to get to the party had both stalled nearby, as if that wasn't suspicious enough, so they needed to find a way to contact a tow truck since none of their cellphones had service out here. Even more suspicious was that, out of all of the places to stall along this road, they ended up stopping so close to a huge mansion like this. By the way the yard and surrounding gardens seemed to be kept, it could have been that the place had been abandoned for some time.

Strangely enough, upon piling the group of eleven into the front door of the building in order to get out of the thundershower that had surfaces as soon as they stepped on the property, the door seemingly shut itself behind them. Devin, who had been keeping the group going from the rear, checked the door, but to no avail could he get it open. "Yeah... it's locked."

"Well, now what? I mean, we're trapped in here, aren't we!?" David panicked slightly. The corridor they were in was poorly lit, the silhouettes of things like armor and pictures lines the way and cast further eerieness on the dusty abode. There definitely wasn't anyone leaving there. David continued to let out a shrill cry as he was startled by his reflection in a nearby mirror. The mirror was a bit strange, though. Even though it was coated in a layer of dust, there was a spot where it looked like someone had laid a finger on it. He was probably just over thinking, though, he decided.

Allison sighed. "Suck it up, you pansy. We'll obviously look for a phone, just like what we first intended. The door being locked is probably just a security measure set up by the owner of this place." Her eyes glanced over everything around here. Only one thing seemed out of place, and that was the gas can that was lying on it's side by the entrance. It didn't fit the decor, and it looked like it had been there for a lot less time than the rest of this junk.

(Hopefully everyone caught the tie-ins to the comic. XD This is basically just an intro, so reactions to entering the mansion and such. If you have any particular suggestions for what I should do to your character, PM me! And guys, I'd really appreciate it if you guys tried to post more than one or two lines, and refrain from putting your actions in between *'s. It's always nicer when you take the time to describe them, and there's no rush. XD)

Following Allison inside, Jace looked around the mansion's entrance. "It looks old..." he started to say, when he was interrupted by a sudden cry. "Geez, David, don't scream like that!" The man followed after Allison and nodded as she spoke. "You're right. All we need is a phone. Should we split up and start looking through the rooms?"

(I'm sorry if my posts are not that long, it's just laborious to type on the Wii.)

Ross looks around the room they're in and shivers. 'This place is creepy' He thinks to himself. "I wouldn't be surprised if this place was was empty since before phones where invented." He says. "But we have to look anyways now. Should we split up like they do in Scooby-Doo, or sould we stick together Allison" He asks.

Nathaniel frowns as he examines the room they have entered carefully. "Great..." He muttered, scratching the back of his head nonchalantly. "Bloody great. I don't think we're getting to the party on time, guys." The well-dressed acrobat-dancer glanced over at Allison, his annoyed frown turning to an encouraging smile. "Hey, we can work this to our advantage," he joked. "After all, if nobody lives here, then we can just say it's ours! I'd rather get a mansion than go to some party any day." Even though his words were uplifting and somewhat humerous, it was obvious that he was just as concerned as the rest of the group. He had seen his fair share of horror movies, after all. "Besides, it's pretty obvious that nobody's here..." His hand glides across the dusty mirror, removing the distinctive finger-shaped mark in the dust. "I mean, look at this place. It's filthy."

"Probably not the time for jokes, Nathaniel." David sighed, just as unaware as Nathaniel himself that by touching the mirror he had sealed his fate.

"Well, if we want to compare this to Scooby-Doo, then I think splitting up definitely ISN'T the best idea." Devin spoke up as he examined a small, Victorian clock on one of the tables near the entrance. "Besides, we don't know anything about this place, and there are a lot of us. What would we do if someone got lost?"

"He raises a good point. We can't exactly risk splitting up right now." David agreed after apologizing to Jace for startling him. His other motivation for staying in a group was that he was scared all by his lonesome.

Allison peered down the dark hallway. "Yeah, let's go a bit further in, and then we can take a vote-" When the girl decided they needed to go further in, candles lining the hallway suddenly all lit up at once, as if they were beckoning the group forward.

"I really have a bad feeling about this..." David murmured.

"Candles lighting up by themselves?" Jace asks incredulously. "I think 'a bad feeling' is an understatement." He looks back at the closed door. "You're right. Now I definitely don't want us to split up anymore. We should stick together as much as possible."

Ross jumps at the appearance of the candles. "Well..... that's...... convient. Who wants to go down the creepy hallway with self lighting candles first?" He asks the group. It's obvious that he isn't going to volunteer to go first.

Guy leans up against the locked door, looking around the old house as if taking it to memory.

"Duuuuuuude. Anyone else gettin', like, a horror-movie vibe from this place? What do you think, guy?" he asks no one in particular. The combination of his wannabe surfer dude voice, not-scared attitude, and idiotic red baseball cap is slightly grating on the nerves.

He looks down the hallway of lit candles. "Dude, that's kinda cool. I need some'a those at my place..." He gets up from the door to investigate the candles further, but not touching them. "How'd they do that...?"

"It's probably just a high-tech haunted house," Nathaniel says with a slight shrug of his shoulders. "There's no way that stuff could happen on its own, after all. And if it is haunted..." He motions towards the candles and the door. "Maybe they just want some company. Can't imagine they get much, from the looks of the place." He nervously tugs at his collar - even in his justification of the events, he was concerned. After all, if he didn't get home in time, his parents would organize a full-blown search party... And he'd be under house-arrest for at least a month after he was found in a place like this.

"It's weird," he adds as an afterthought, "they just don't build this kind of structure any more... It's victorian in design, I would guess, and at least a hundred years old."

David sighed. He didn't really like these people. They were all Allison's friends, not his. The only one of these people he could really call a friend other than Allison herself was Devin. That Guy fellow was one of the ones he hated the most. The way he talked was just... blah. "Way to state the obvious..." He murmured in response to Guy's comment about the horror feel this place had. He almost inflicted pain upon himself when he then heard Guy state he wanted some of those candles at his house.

"Since we're speaking logically, does it make sense that a high-tech haunted house would be all the way out here? Nobody would make the trip." Devin replied to Nathanial as he glanced over the area which was now lit by candle-light. "Besides, do you think any company has enough spare time to gather up enough dust to coat the place like this?"

"Well, whatever it is, let's just go on ahead. Act first, worry later!" Allison finally decided as she took the first few steps down the hallway.

David sighed. "I don't think I like that policy..."

Meanwhile, Nathaniel was hearing a female voice that nobody else could hear... "That's right, make sure you all stay together now. I wouldn't want anything happening to my new friends and guests... yet."

"Do we have any other options?" Ross asks David. Despite looking relitivly calm, he is terrified by the place. He follows behind Allison down the hallway.

"I'm right behind you," Jace tells Allison as he follows after her. Since she has the courage to go first, Jace feels he can't let her down by hesitating. They're friends, afterall. "Com'on," he says over his shoulder. "Let's try and not get separated."

Nathaniel visibly shivers, the feminine voice that had crept into his mind heightening his concern. "Did anyone else hear that?" He asked, glancing around at his friends nervously. "Please tell me someone else heard that..." The nervous collar-tug comes again - his friends would know that this is a habit of his when he's under stress. Now that the voice had entered his mind, everything in the building looked more intimidating; shadows that had seemed harmless before seemed to take on a life of their own, taunting him. "We could just try breaking the door down and walking to the nearest town..."
