"I've got no earthly idea," Chu replied. He had seen those two around the arcade before - even trounced that one called Reid a good few times. "I'm sure they'll show up eventually... Probably busy eating donuts." Sadly, this was very likely to be true; the local police were notorious for their incompetence, always too busy giving parking tickets to stop any real crime (Chu knew this because of the countless times he'd had to defend his arcade money from random ne'erdowells). They were useless in the best of times... Probably running for their lives now that a real catastrophe had hit.
Ace was the first to notice it; something glowing blue was approaching them through the sky - fast. As it grew closer, they realized it was a person; in fact, a black-haired japanese man wearing an all-to-familiar orange gi zipped over the group in a millisecond, off to some unknown destination.
Chu's jaw dropped - you didn't see something like - that - every day... "Was that who I think it was?"
Meanwhile, the orange locks in Mark's hair had become more prominent, claiming roughly half of the boy's head. His proportions were growing more curved as he lost muscle-mass, and his chiseled face was becoming round and feminine. However, the odds of somebody paying attention after that flying spectacle were unlikely, and other than the intensely itchy (and now slightly swollen) chest, Mark himself didn't feel a thing.
