"Honestly," Kratos began, "I have no idea how he pulled it off. I may have been considered second in class, but to compare my intelligence to his would be to compare the strength of a kobold and a great wyrm. I have absolutely no clue as to how he managed this... If I did, I would have certainly tried to do something to counteract it. But I suppose that's all beside the point now, isn't it? We're all transformed... Or transforming," he added as he glanced at David.
The glance was well-deserved, as David, one of the few remaining boys, was obviously not going to remain so for very long. His eyes had grown, taking up a much larger portion of his face, and the irises had taken on an unnatural lavender color. His hair had grown several inches, random streaks of pink slowly forming in the dark red hair. His frame had predictably shrunken down to a petite size, girlish curves replacing masculine lines. Perhaps the most bizarre change of all occured when his tailbone painfully lengthened, forming a thin, black tail with a spade on the end. Two smallish breasts pushed out of his petite chest while a strange pulling sensation in his groin confirmed that the masculine pronoun was now incorrectly applied.
"Well," Kratos sighed, "I suppose we all saw
that coming... As for our plan, a large force wouldn't be tactically sufficient. This guy just threw the world into chaos, transforming some of them into really, really powerful people - albeit powerful people who don't have any clue on how to use their powers." He pointed at himself, chuckling slightly. "In other words, don't expect me to run in there raining divine judgement on his corporation. Besides... Chances are he's the only one who can change us back, so blowing him up would probably be a bad idea... So I propose this: Doc, myself, and the rest of you people are going to get to the bottom of this. I decided on you all because Doc says you're something special; you're all pretty knowledgeable on the characters you've been turned into, I assume, and some of you even have fighting skill.
This is going to be tricky... But we really don't have another choice. Of course, if you're not up to it... I would understand. Nobody's forcing you into anything."
