(sorry it took a while for me to begin posting, had some internet problems.)
Just like the phoenix rises from the burnt ashes of its past self, Faustina rose from the frosty remains of the canopy she had slept in, roused by the startled cries of the Swellow and Tailow. She had slowly drifted in and out of consciousness before finally snapping to; when the Alakazam elder gave her an artless prod with a psychically manoeuvred stick.
“Awake, my child.” He whispered to her mind from the floor of the forest, “We appear to have an unprecedented situation on the island”
“un... pressi... denti?” she asked, slightly confused by the word.
“Unprecedented. Don’t worry about the word for now; let’s just say that there is a new problem we are have found ourselves facing...”
The words barely left his mind before a stray fireball sent him flying, and Faustina fell from the canopy. The water particles carried by the strong winds blowing through the trees were frozen by her passing through them, creating a makeshift hail attack. Luckily for Faustina, she simply hovered once she was close enough to the ground.
“What problem is it?” she asked the havens elder
“See for yourself” he pointed upwards, and as Faustina looked she froze in fear.
A Dragonite, a large Charizard, and what appeared to be a giant dragonfly with flames running along its wings were dubiously throwing fireballs at each other.
“It appears to be some kind of contest” the Alakazam thought to her.
“What’s that other creature that is with them?”
“That’s one of the Pokémon from an island far away from here. There aren’t many of them, and the humans are yet to discover them in their cavernous homeland. Nor are they likely to.”
Suddenly the contest seemed to become a harsh fight, fire was everywhere, and the temperature rose drastically. Stray fireballs and flamethrower attacks made the sky rain fiery death from above. The forest around Faustina began burning passionately, and she felt herself becoming weaker as the temperature rose.
In her mind she heard something familiar, something terrifying to her. The old grandfather clock from the home she left behind was chiming in her head.
Dong....
She saw the flames burning around her room....
Dong....
Saw her treasures being burnt away....
Dong....
Saw her friends dying.......
Dong.....
And that’s when she faded into the depths of her mind, and unleashed the psychic energy that had lain dormant in her brain for so long. A myriad of ice spouted from her feet, and enveloped the island in a gigantic glacial web. The Alakazam barely had time to take in the enormous psychic presence from her before she screamed. She screamed so loudly that the creatures in the sky stopped fighting immediately and fell, their balance impaired by the sound.
Faustina began to sparkle, and then an enormous light exuded from her body, covering all of the island and the night sky above.
After the light faded, it appeared to be snowing, but in reality it was not snow, but the ash of everything on the island, and also the island itself that fell from the sky.....
Like the phoenix rises from its ashes, Faustina rose from the gray mound of ash like an icy totem. Her eyes were dead for a moment, then, as she looked up at the sky, the remainder of the island split apart beneath her.
She slowly descended beneath the waves, her icy aura froze the water around her into a cocoon of ice. The block of ice was then spirited away by the ocean currents, off towards the mainland. Where the echoes of her scream, still reverberated off the cliffs like the ghostly winds of the broken island...
Diamonds may fall at eventide
But we’re still waiting for
Their light to shine
Diamonds fall at Eventide
But we still watch for
