The Mungojerrie: Rolling On (Part 2)

[Harri-chan]

She seems to relax a little at the hug, her frown fading slightly... and leans into Callista. Even that name sounded mocking as she sat in what was left of her over-sized business suit.

"What am I doing to do, Callista? Without the gun, I can't go to school like this unless I intend enrolling as a student!".

[AmbushCat]

Callista: Well, there's always that illusion I told you about earlier. Other than that...I don't know.

[Harri-chan]

Could... I could I stay here with you? We're... kind of in the same situation...

[AmbushCat]

Callista: *blinks, surprised* But what about your job? You have students to keep in line. You said so yourself!

*The fragment of Goldie returns, putting the bags of clothing next to the two of them before merging with her core self*

[Harri-chan]

Those girls are seventeen... you think they'd listen to me looking like this... ?

[AmbushCat]

Callista: I... *pauses, then sighs* Truth be told---and believe it or not---I actually live at an alternate version of Earth, and I don't think you'd want to come with me.
However, we do have fully-furnished rooms available here in the facility. Essentially, you'd be getting free room and board.

[Harri-chan]

But... what would I have to do in return for the room? *she asks, actually blushing*

Callista: *thinks* That's a good question. Are you saying you want a job here?

[Harri-chan]

I guess I don't really have a choice.. I can't go back to my old one, and I'd not be able to pay you back any other way...

[AmbushCat]

Callista: Hmm... *thinks* Tell you what. *points out a door nearby that leads to a set of restrooms* You take this stuff we bought in there and get changed into something; doesn't matter what. *beckons Shiver, the Mismagius, on over* There's a conference room farther down inside the facility; I can meet you down there, and we can hash out the details. Shiver can lead you down there, so you don't need to worry about losing your way.

She nods her head, and then gives Callista a little squeeze before she gets up, gathering the bags in her arms, and then glances at Shiver before being led away to change. She searches through the bags, eventually dressing herself in a pair of white silk bra and panties, a snug pale yellow t-shirt that left her tummy bare and had a unicorn on the chest, and a white skirt that went almost down to her knees but not quite. On her feet she puts a pair of white strappy sandals, and then lets herself be taken to the conference room.

*Events go on as indicated. Shiver telekinetically triggers the opening of a steel door some levels down, then floats aside and lets Megan enter. Within is a conference room similar to those seen in some office buildings: a long square table with numerous chairs; one-way windows that allow for a view outside, although there isn't much to see; an old-fashioned overhead projector on a movable tray; an obsolete-looking PC, and a few artificial plants.*

*Callista is sitting at one of the chairs, gazing at a printout; in the interim, she has swapped out her T-shirt for a gray sweater (notably, her purse hasn't budged from her shoulder). She looks up as the door opens.*

Callista: Hi, Megan. Come on in and take a seat.

[Harri-chan]

She stepped inside and blushed slightly when she saw Callista now in a sweater and sat at a chair along the table. It all felt quite bizarre too her, seeing this teenage girl in quite a grown-up setting, and even dressed a little more grown up than she was... or a lot more grown up she thought as she glanced down at the uniform on her t-shirt. The lack of heels and their clicking sound was sorely missed too as she walked across the room, her hips not longer having a natural sway to them, and the white skirt swished as she sat down across the table from Callista.

"This feels... odd, huh?".

Callista: *smiles good-naturedly* I suppose. It takes some getting used to, admittedly.
Alright. Before we get into the job opportunities and such, I want to lay down a few ground rules. First off, regarding the room you'll be getting, you'll be counted on to at least keep it straightened out and have trash thrown away, things like that. You'll be given a key-pass after we're done here to get in and out; if you lose it, you can ask Goldie for a new one. A few of Circe's maids---and don't worry, they're not as mean as she is---will be on hand in case any major cleaning is needed.

Second, I'm sure you noticed that the Mungojerrie is, in fact, an obnoxiously-huge spaceship with the engines and weaponry removed. There are still a few rooms that are inaccessible to the public, but otherwise you have the run of the entire ship. *grins* I'm told that walking the hallways is a great way to stay in shape.

She nods her head, biting her lip as she listens to Callista's explanation, and now it was pretty hard to laugh at the girl's claims she owned and ran the place. This made Megan blush.

"But.. what do I do for you in return for the room and those services?", she asked, and seemed to get a little more nervous as the words left her lips.
