The Mungojerrie: Rolling On (Part 2)

Lost fills the pot with water for the noodles. "I'll try. What color? Orange and blue, maybe?"

[AmbushCat]

*nods, turning on one of the stove burners* Those will work; the streamers will be that color, too, but you probably won't need to put those up yourself. The kitchen staff on our boss's flagship has volunteered to cater the event, so food won't be an issue.

[Stray-chan]

"Ooh, nice, nya. Anything else I can do? Anything at the party that needs covering, nya?"

[AmbushCat]

*thinks, even as she places the pot on the burner* Well, depending on when Circe gets back to the Manor after dealing with the distraction, you want to lead her to where the party will be?

[Stray-chan]

"Sure. But, um, are we going to have reason to be there, nya? I know Circe doesn't like people in her territory without permission..."

Good point. If you get there in time, maybe you can inquire about the possibility of using one of her recreational facilities. Bring some extra clothes with you to make it seem a little more convincing; Callista has a few things you can use if you don't have any.

[Stray-chan]

"I got that covered, nya. Err, any way I should dress for the party, nya?"

[AmbushCat]

*pours the noodles into the pot and begins stirring* Just make sure you look presentable and decent; my boss will probably be there, and she has this thing with the way people dress that's borderline annoying. Other than that, anything goes.

[Stray-chan]

"Gotcha, nya. Well, this should be fun!"

[AmbushCat]

*P.K. nods in agreement, then goes back to a normal volume as she continues stirring.*

I can't remember. Have you met my boss yet? Kinda short with brown hair, always carries a purse and a shopping bag? Oh, and be ready to add the other ingredients after the noodles are done.

[Stray-chan]

"Um, maybe, a while ago, nya. I don't think we spoke, though." She opens the tuna up.

*finishes stirring and drains the water from the pot* She's pretty nice, for a human being. A bit of a coward, though...she's afraid of the more TF-happy citizens of Muffinville.

*Lunchtime at the Mungojerrie. Rather quiet in the eating area, if anything because most people are too busy enjoying the food to talk...*

*...and then two figures---one exuberant, the other calm and collected---make their arrival to the restaurant.*

Eebon: Didn't the shop-shop girl tell us that there would be some sort of surprise waiting for us?

Echo: *telepathically* Yes...she said someone would be here.

Eebon: *a bit disappointed* ...That stinks. I was hoping for another puzzle...and now you said it's a person? ...Gaw. *waves at Goldie and sits down at a table, Echo close behind*

Before long, Megan was coming to greet the two children. In her head, she was an adult, but in body she was 13 year old girl, and dressed to match in a short summer dress that was yellow with white polka dots, little straps over her shoulders. Her red hair was left loose, and she was wearing white sandals.

"Hi children.. I'm going to be your new babysitter, Miss Matthews!".

Eebon: *looks up, seeing her; waves* Hi, Miss Matthews-lady! Nice to meet you! Gaw.

Echo: *purrs a greeting and opens his mouth to speak* Hello. The same.
