*nods* I originally wasn't sure if I wanted to have it on the 2nd or the 3rd. I decided the night before to try and shoot for the 2nd.

Amber: Having a flexible schedule can be a downside sometimes, you know.

And... when did you decide to do all this?

Shortly after I got here for my visit last month. The maid who let me in told me a little of what had been happening at the time, and I decided then and there that something a bit more upbuilding needed to take place.

[Circe]

*smiles good-naturedly* You're very welcome, Circe-chan.

Amber: Something that she left out was that she was able to convince Zapana to talk to Dact and make sure that he wouldn't be launching any surprise attacks on the Manor for the party's duration.

[Circe]

Then tell Zapana I said thanks.

Sure, I'll tell her. *eyes glint green* It'll probably take a little effort for her to accept it, but I'll tell her.

[Circe]

*Circe shrugs.* Just don't work too hard on it.

*calms down* I'll try not to.

*On the stereo, a rendition of Beer Barrel Polka (as performed by the legendary Liberace) can be heard.*

Just saying. If she doesn't want to be thanked, that's her business.

*nods* Yeah. It's just that for all that she's nice to me, she can be aggravating to deal with at times.

*shakes her head* Ah, well... I'll worry about that later. Think maybe you and Callista would like to have a brief exhibition match in a little bit?

*It takes a few seconds for this to register in Callista's brain. When she does, she almost chokes on the cranberry muffin she was eating.*

[Dracos]

*A maid opens the door.* Can I help you?

I hope so; I have a message for Circe. I've also got a gift.

*Dracos pulls out a small gift-wrapped box with a letter attached to it*

[Circe]
