[Hooray for progress! Wait, are we even making any progress? Oh well...]
Tai finds herself outside, in the busy city. Across the street she can see the same strip mall and supermarket that Claude and Alex found.
The receptionist with the horn-rimmed glasses gives the guy a glare and rolls her eyes. "Fill out an application." She notices Valerie enter the room and she makes double sure to roll her eyes again. "And just what do you want, Ginger? If you haven't noticed, you won't even find a Gilligan here...heh."
[Big speech time. If you've been wondering about the why of all this, here it is.]
Mister Harrison sits across from Nova and Robert. "You no doubt are wondering what gives our company the right to do the things that happened to the two of you. Legally speaking, you did when you signed your application forms. Morally, there is much more to it."
"You see, there is a common misconception that the advent of nanotechnology will result in something called a meltdown effect. Essentially, even the brightest of researchers and scientists are afraid that if even the smallest population of nano-technological devices were to run rampant, the entire planet would eventually be broken down into a pile of sludge composed of what used to be every living thing.
"You two are part of an ongoing case study to prove that this will never happen. The nanites that are used in creating this room, and in making Robert as lovely as she is are still machines at the end of the day, and can only perform tasks they have been programmed to do. Don't worry, you are perfectly safe.
"In the course of our ten years of experimentation, we have had a 0.001% failure rate, and when the nanites do fail, they simply shut down. Now, what does this have to do with morals? Simple. Once we can prove to the scientific community what we already know about the safety of these miraculous machines, we can truly make an impact for the betterment of mankind. Robert here is a prime example of just what could possibly be done in medicine. The whole human body can be repaired and modified with the flip of a switch.
"It doesn't end there. Self-repairing cars. Rooms like these that reform themselves to your whim. Clothing that will tailor itself to your body shape. The possibilities are endless. And while Robert may not seem to be the same person she once was on the outside, I can assure you that she is still very much Robert, only as she would be had she been born a woman, and with the best possible genetic outcome from her parents.
"Even without nano machines, Robert will have an incredibly long and healthy life if she keeps herself healthy. Her immune system is off the charts as far as combatting disease is concerned. And these questions you have concerning her accepting her current state? Those thoughts were there from the very beginning. We only brought them to the forefront for her own comfort.
"I have other matters to attend to now." Harrison stands and bows slightly to them. "You legally have no room for complaint. As for your conscience...just talk to her. She knows far more intimately how we have affected her. And who knows? Perhaps by talking to her you might overcome what seems to me as prejudice against her on your part. Good day, and I wish you both the best." He smiles and walks towards the door where he just...vanishes.
[Wait, the stuff with the couples takes up more space than than the tf's? What has this crazy world come to?]
Alissa:
J.D. see's Darius' face in a whole new light. Simply told, because it looks very different. Darius can feel his face getting cuter, and it is quite cute. His sharp little chin combined with his full cheeks gives him a perfect little heart-shaped face, and his full bodied eyelashes only seem to make his sparkling eyes that much larger. Very cute, very feminine looking, but Darius doesn't seem to appear any older than 18 or 19. Oh, and Darius might also see J.D.'s face in a whole new light as well, since he's come to a startling conclusion. He likes boys, plain and simple. Granted, J.D. may not be up to his particular taste in boys, but that's up to him to decide, now isn't it?
Lost:
The rest of Jake's legs follow suit, bringing forth curves that can only be described as art. Sitting on the floor, he also can feel his butt expand across it, feeling more padded and even a little wider. However, the expansion in his rear does pull the bikini bottom tighter in front to the point of just barely seeming uncomfortable. Apparently, his butt is that large, and the way the rest of his body is, perfectly so. In fact, his whole body seems almost completely female, just from how perfect it seems to be. Well, except for his feet. Perhaps his only flaw, it can only be considered as such because of the comparison to the rest of his body. For as perfect and smooth and gentle his body is, Jake's feet are...normal. That's it, just normal. But in comparison, they seem thick and blocky.
