Circe's Manor

*Callista takes the hit head-on, biting back a scream as she is struck by the lightning blade. Only the Defense Mode she triggered keeps her from losing the battle outright, cutting the attack's damage in half.*

*Wincing, the shopaholic digs through her shopping bag and takes out a half-full bottle of Dr. Pepper. Without hesitation, she gulps it all down. The injuries that she received from the Lightning Blade and the earlier Tornado Cutter fade away as her health is restored.*

*The blade fizzles out, as Circe returns to her sopt at the other end of the area.* Almost had her...

Callista: Getting bisected by lightning isn't a very pleasant experience. *reaches down and taps her shoes, causing them to glow* I hope that Admiral Kizaru guy doesn't mind me borrowing one of his techniques...

*Callista raises one foot, then starts kicking the air repeatedly. Red laser blasts start shooting out towards Circe.*

[Circe]

*Circe summons up an ice barrier to absorb the lasers.*

*Callista sustains the barrage for as long as she is able, lowering her foot only when the energy wears off. The barrier is riddled with holes, but none of the lasers actually reach their target.*

CA: That's the problem with testing out new tricks...you don't actually know whether it'll work or not. *sighs, readying herself for whatever happens next*

[Circe]

Metal Drop! *A large chunk of steel appears above Callista and, well, drops on her.*

[AmbushCat]

*Callista switches on the jets and hurries out of the way*

[Circe]

*The chunk shatters as it lands, sending shards of shrapnel flying at Callista.*

[AmbushCat]

Callista: *grits her teeth* Blast it! Not this again!

*She boosts herself upwards in an attempt to escape the shrapnel. The escape attempt, though, is only halfway successful. Several pieces of metal catch her ankle; preoccupied with pulling them out, she forgets to switch off the boosters.*

*CRASH*

*Ten seconds later, Callista slowly drops to the ground and rubs the back of her head. There is a shopaholic-shaped imprint in the gym's ceiling.*

*Circe looks up at the imprint.* Looks like the maids'll have their work cut for them after this...

Callista: *grumbles* You found it funny. Admit it.

*Taking a moment to gather her wits together, Callista re-draws her Element Gun and starts spinning rapidly in place again. Various elemental energy bursts fly out of the tornado in all directions.*

*One notes, though, is that she has no sense of direction while she's doing this.*

[Circe]

*Circe starts running to avoid the blasts. Of course, with them flying everywhere, some will probably hit her eventually.*

*Circe ends up getting tagged by four different shots: two electrical, one wood, and one dark. None of the shots are overly powerful by themselves, although the damage adds up.*

*Callista stops spinning and swerves around dizzily, spirals in her eyes*

Callista: 'Round and 'round she goes, where she stops...ooh, Doc, Don Flamenco has it in for me...

*Amber pinches the bridge of her nose and sighs*

Been wanting to test this out... *Circe closes her eyes, seemingly focusing on something.*

*It takes a little bit for Callista to recover. Looking up and seeing what Circe is doing, she feels a cold chill running up her spine.*

Callista: I don't like the looks of this...
