My personal biggest gripe with the show so far is simply how little time the main character spends focusing on the fact THAT HE CAN SHOOT FIRE FROM HIS HANDS!!!

Not only does the jerk get a harem he has no idea what to do with, but he gets magic powers he has no idea what to do with either!?!

I bet he doesn't even know what to do with his boobs!

The guy's a no-talent hack, they should have hired me instead.

But, yeah, he is pretty lame regarding the lack of use of his power. Maybe, as is typical, he just doesn't want to injure girls. ;/

In the manga he doesn't spend much time working on his powers either. It's a lot different how he masters transforming.

I share Nikkou's concern that the character is so clueless, it makes it hard to identify to him.

I guess since the harem genre requires a romantical interest tension to be maintained, we will keep seeing near-miss until the end of the season. Sometime, it will be caused by event interfering, other time, the writers will be lazy and use the main character cluelessness beyond the boundaries of believable.

Anyway, for the moment, I intend to keep watching.

With that said, I kinda like the series. Sure, it's easy entertainment, but as long as that's all you're expecting, what's the harm?

I'd agree for Akane, and the Student Body President in regaurds to the male form, and Sakura for the feamale form, but his childhood friend like has reasons for her crush likely he's been like a brother to her.

But that's so typical. A childhood friend always seems to mean that one of them (usually the girl) will love the other. It's unrealistic. By using that kind of logic, that'd mean that, since I grew up with my sister, she must, therefor, fall in love with me. ;/

Really, it's just as bad as Kashimashi, in this regard. Tomari loves Kazumu, of course, because they were childhood friends. And the other girl that loves him, Yasuna, does so for a reason that makes no sense at all, due to an unbelievable condition.

Too heavy to suspend, if you ask me.

I'm not surprised, though, because the harem genre tends to put the focus on one male (or female) character, as if no other romantic options exist for the other characters, essentially making him (or her) the last man (or woman) alive on the face of the planet. And the other characters react accordingly.

I don't see that happening here unless Sakura starts to fall for the male form. As much as he like her, I don't think he'd stay female for her.

Let's make some predictions. I'm willing to bet that the series ends with no real resolution on which girl he ends up with, because it's so much easier (and, perhaps, more amusing) to end it with things unresolved, with the suggestion that his situation, whatever your opinion of it might be, continues.

Something like 99.9% of all romantic anime ends unresolved. I just don't see this one being any different. Of course, I'll be very pleasantly surprised if it does turn out to conclude something. Anything. (I'm rooting for Akane, myself. Futily, most likely, but still. )

Well, there is still that 0.1% chance. But I do agree that there won't be a hint of a resolution(if any) before the end of the last episode.

Actually, if you're talking about Akane from Ranma 1/2, the end of the manga apparently states that she and Ranma eventually get married.
