Before leaving Jace took one last look at the beast. He noticed he monster hasn't moved an inch and it wasnt even aware of there presence. "Hey, Jason... I think that thing is dead..." said Jace pointing to the creature.
"Let me confirm, your shelter shield is activated?"
"What are you planning?!"
"Your shelter is secure, is it?"
"Of course it is! Just see for yourself how powerless you are!"
"...Roger that."

The portrait tilts a bit more... then drops to the floor with a loud clatter. More than that, part of the wall comes loose with it! A cloud of dust billows out, enshrouding Rodmart's world in a grey haze. It takes minutes for the dust to settle, but then the man finds himself standing in front of a gaping hole in the wall. A tunnel leads away perpendicular to the corridor he's currently standing in.

Rodmart looks back once more, reasoning that undiscovered riches might be at the end of the tunnel, he tries walking into the tunnel.
He walks on tip toes, checking everywhere for a trace of movement or glittering eyes.

"Urgh... This place sucks." Simon says before noticing his new posture. "What the hell is this?" It was the complete opposite of his normal stance, back slouched, hands in pocket, a stance of rebellion. But now he looked like some fancy prissy boy! "Christ..." He decided to check out the bookshelf. He had heard that some old books were worth a lot of money and these books looked like they were older then his great-grandmother! He approached the shelves and ran his finger along the spines of the books, reading their titles.

Angela crouched down infront of the small statue. The mummified snake horrified her, but the statue itself seemed fascinating. She wrinkled her nose, making a whining noise as she uses a thumb and a finger to lift the top of the statue, and shake off the coiled snake. "Ewww... ".

After the loud roar, whatever causes the sound seemed to have fallen silent. Nothing prevents him from falling asleep now... and his body is crying out to do just that. Almost against his will (or is it?) his eyes fall closed. There is darkness... then he finds himself sitting upright in the bed he laid down in, wide awake. He is kept warm by thick, lush covers, and a feathery pillow is dented where his head presumably lay. The room itself has similarly changed: all the rotted furniture has returned to its prime state. An ornate vanity stands against the wall, next to a heavy wooden closet, polished brown wood glistening in the light of a single candle sitting on a small bedside table.

MIke feel his body slowly going to sleep and as much as he wanted to get up from the bed, he couldn't. There was a loud roar but after that everything just began to shut down as Mike closed his eyes and sleep over came him.

MIke then open his eyes and woke up only to find that everything in the room was clean. The room looked the same but everything about it was new. From the covers that somehow was over him to the bedroom set. He slowly moved and said, "What is going on? Did somebody redecorate this room or something?"

Mike moved a little on the bed to where he was in front of the vanity stand.

~Gina~

The stairs creak ominously as she sets foot on them. Still, somehow they manage to bear her weight. Slowly and carefully she makes her way down, round and round and round the edge of the abyss. Except the fact that her starting point gradually disappears from view the lower she gets, the view remains almost exactly the same.

Shivering to herself as she continued to walk on down, Gina couldn't help but wonder just how long the stairs would keep up for her. As she walked down, she had to wonder just how long they were, refusing to look over the edge for fear of becoming dizzy and possibly falling. "I hope that creature doesn't roar again. That was too scary." She held the metal bars that she got from the window tightly in her hands.

It...couldn't be. He couldn't be stuck in a loop...could he?

Frowning, Marcus approaches the fallen door, and looks in the room...

~John~

The new tactic seems to be more effective. Most of the hungry cloth comes off. Of course, the sweater has to be sacrificed in the process. As John drops it to the floor, it is slowly consumed, and only a... strange glove is left in its place? The few bits of coth left on the man's hand slowly fade away... leaving his hand behind smooth and hairless, and looking subtly different from the other.

~Reyes~

He's gotten himself into a vast cavern, where he's hanging some fifty feet above the ground... but not for long. Gravity takes its hold and Reyes finds himself plummeting down to the ground.

~Rodmart~

The tunnel leads slowly downwards, presumably into the bedrock on which the castle is built. Further and further down it goes. The gaping hole that forms the entrance that Rodmart used is soon no more than a speck of light in the increasing darkness of the tunnel...

~Simon~

The books are all ages old, much the same as the painting. As he runs his finger along their spines some dust comes off...
The titles are rather... varied. There's what looks to be an ancient cooking book, right next to an album of children's stories. Next to that is what might be a romance novel... following by a magic tome? Whoever collected these titles had very odd tastes indeed.

~Angela~

As she picks the statue up it creaks ominously. Bits and pieces chip off. For some reason the temperature in the room seems to drop...

~Mike~

In the vanity, his reflection looks back innocently. A bit shorter than he is, with long, silky brown hair, done up in a braid, twisted elaborately around itself. Gentle curves and a luscious bossom are contained in a demure, black maid's uniform... Wait, aren't reflections supposed to reflect.. well, oneself?

~Gina~

The further down Gina she goes, the sturdier the stairs seem to become and her pace increases. Just as she has reached something approaching normal walking tempo there's a soft rustle in the air... followed by a loud snap. The stairs groan complainingly and Gina finds herself knocked to her feet as a tremor courses through the wooden structure. Then, from high above her in the dark a soft rumbling reaches the woman's ears. Like the distant sound of wood splintering and being crushed...

~James~

The room... is entered! Moonlight illuminating small pedestal scene remains ongoing.

~Marcus~

The room appears to be a dining room. Long, wooden tables (or the remains of some, at least) dominate the room, all flanked on both sides by broken and rotted chairs. In the center of the room a massive chandelier hangs from the ceiling. This seem to be the only intact piece of furniture present. Small jems glitter from the moonlight that shines through the bayed windows to Marcus' left.

~Jason + Jace~

The creature remains quite motionless. However, closer inspection reveals that it's not a creature at all! It's a statue... but boy, did whoever made it put effort into making it look lifelike!

Rodmart is starting to be more and more afraid, he picks his lighter from his pocket and tries to use it as a source of light.
His steps are small, and very shaky.

Angela's eyes widen as the statue begins to crack, and she watches pieces of it falling off. The lowering of the temperature was felt immeadiatley, as her green dress barely covered her underwear. A chill went down her spine, and she began to shiver as she straightens with the statue in her hands, and quickly moves to get back out of the cell....
