As if it was part of a script, his arm came around her again, holding her so gently as he gave a nod of his head, "I understand... ". He gently stroked his fingers down her back, and then... brought them around to her tummy, where he paused. "Is it okay to touch here? I've never really known anyone that was pregnant before... ".

Kathy looked thoughtful for a moment, and then nodded her head. "Sure.. ". She climbs down from her chair, and goes to follow the taller girl again, getting the feeling that was going to be something she needed to get used to. "I've never seen that one... ".

Emily simply glowed at the warmth and strength that she could feel flowing into her from him. His arms just made her feel so wanted, so comfortable. She never wanted him to let go. Even in her mind, there wasn't a speck of Richard that protested her as she cooed and nodded her reply to his question. She found his hand and guided it in hers to rest on her tummy, her hand resting over his. "Thank you for asking first, though."

"It's the best! It's got this mermaid in it, and she's so pretty... and she's got blond hair like us!" She pulled out the box for the video and put it in the player before hopping onto the couch and patting the spot next to her. "I just know you'll like it."
Meanwhile, Louise happily made her way into the kitchen, where she put away their plates. "Would you girls like some popcorn?"

He smiled as she moved the hand for him, and even held it there by placing her own on top. "It's a beautiful thing... pregnancy... ", he murmurs in her ear, his breath tickling her a little. He turned his head so his nose brushed through her hair as he inhaled, and then kissed the top of her head. "I'm not really sure how I am with kids... it's another thing I've not really had much experience with... ".

Kathy glanced at Katie when she heard Louise asking if they wanted popcorn. Already she was getting the idea that they did what Katie wanted. She curled up on the couch, not realising her childish underwear was peeking from beneath her denim jumper. "Aren't you full after all those nuggets?", she whispers.

Emily let out an easy, free and soft giggle. "I'm sure you would do fine. If you'd like, I could let you meet my daughter, Kathy. She's a sweet little thing..." She sighed. She couldn't always say that about Kathy. She wondered just how the girl was coping with her new status in life. Surely, she couldn't have embraced things as deeply as Emily had. "If you're as kind and gentle to her as you are to me, she'll absolutely love you."

Katie nodded, then whispered back. "Yeah, but that means more popcorn for you. You deserve it for eating all your greens." She smiled and called to her mother. "We'd love some. Thank you, mother." Louise smirked back at the two and soon the microwave was on and the smells and sounds of popping corn filled the air. The movie was just starting, and it looked like it would be a cartoon.

"I'd love to meet her", smiled Jeff, gently stroking his fingers along the curve of Emily's tummy through her soft dress. "I bet she's going to be in pretty high demand with a certain young lady upstairs however". He nuzzled her soft hair and let out a content sigh. "You must be an incredible Mother to bring her up alone... ".

Meanwhile, upstairs, Kathy and Katie were settling down infront of the TV with a bowl of popcorn, and would be occupied and entertained for the next hour or so!

Emily blushed at the compliment. She knew it was odd, since it shouldn't even have been a compliment to begin with. But sitting there, in Jeff's arms and letting him caress her tummy, she didn't care. When she or Kathy or Susan rubbed her tummy it already felt nice, but to feel his hand there was paradise. She positively glowed, radiating happiness through her skin like only an expecting mother can. "It hasn't been easy, I'll admit." She lifted her head up off his shoulder and dreamily looked into his eyes. "But I have a feeling things will be a lot better with you around."

"I'll do my best.. I promise.. ", he said, leaning down a little to kiss her upon the nose. "I won't be the only one to help out of course. Louise has been through exactly the same as you, she'll be glad of the company and eager to lend a hand.... ", he explained as he held her in his arms. "Is there anything else you'd like to eat? I think I have some chocolates in the cupboard... ".

Emily shivered at the kiss on her nose. It paled in comparison to the kiss he gave her before, but she just couldn't do that yet. She knew him, and very well. She wanted him to kiss her so badly. She knew she just wasn't mentally ready to give herself like that, to be a woman kissing a man. Her eyes widened at the mention of chocolate and her mouth watered. She still had plenty of room for food, and chocolate sounded mighty tasty. "I'd love some chocolate..."

He gently pulled his arms from around her, and rose from the couch, heading over to a drinks cabinet against the wall and pulling open a little cupboard on it. "What time was Louise bring Kathy back over to you?", he asked, pulling out a pair of dark chocolate, and then returned to her side. Unwrapping it, he snapped off a square, waiting for her to answer before gently pressing the chocolate to her lips with a smile.

Emily sighed when he got up, and she watched him intently as he retrieved the chocolate. "She didn't say. I probably shouldn't stay too long though, I wouldn't want to be a burden on her." Her eyes widened when he placed the chocolate on her lips, but she quickly relaxed and drew the chocolate in. The motion her lips took led her to kiss the end of his finger, which made her blush as the chocolate melted in her mouth.

"Believe me, she's probably having the most peaceful evening she's had in months", he grinned, watching her take the chocolate from his fingers, and he brushed them against her nose before pulling them back. He covers his mouth to hide a yawn, and leans back into the leather couch. "Just let me know when you're ready, and I'll take you back upstairs, but there's no rush".

Emily kicked her feet to let her shoes slip off and pulled her feet up to tuck them underneath herself. She leaned back into him and set her head to rest on his chest. "I think I could stand to stay quite a bit longer." She smiled and nuzzled closer. "Especially if you let me have more chocolate."

He shifted slightly to try and make her as comfy as possible when she rested her head upon his chest. Snapping off another piece of the dark chocolate, he brought it to her lips, while the other hand began to gently stroke down her almost bare back. "I'll have to remember to buy more of this stuff next time I'm shopping", he smiled, kissing the top of her head again.

She shivered and let out a satisfied sigh as he stroked her back. She placed her hand on his thigh and gave it a little squeeze as she wrapped her lips around another piece of chocolate. "I have a feeling that you would spoil me if you could." Emily smiled and sighed happily against him. "Is this how you treat all your visitors?" She giggled and gave his leg another squeeze.

He smiled down at her, stroking along her side, "I think you deserve a little spoiling now and then", he winked, but then shook his head. "This is just for you... ". He couldn't help but let out a little laugh when she giggled, "You're adorable, you know? I've not felt this happy since... well, I can't remember when I was this happy... ".
