Picking clothes that matched, was not something Charly was used to, but she figured if she was going to make these girls believe they'd brainwashed her, then it was something she should probably start learning a little about, as embarrassing as that was. She followed Mary Anne to the dresser, watching her take out the headband, and then blushed, "How do I take this off?", she asked, gently pinching the pink bow between the tips of her fingers and tugging on it.

The older girl's giggling was such a comforting sound. Something never heard at the boy's base, and such a nice contrast to the hatred that several girls had now shown Charlotte. Her shoulders shrug when asked about food, "We never really got a choice before... I ate what I was given or ate nothing at all", she explained, and then frowned a little. "What do you eat?".

Mary Anne knelt down once more, "Here..." she grabbed Charlotte's hand, "If you're not worried about untying it, just..." she placed the small girl's hand on the bow and helped her pull it down from around her head and down her hair, "...pull down like that." the bow fell limp to the ground as Mary Anne positioned the headband, "For these, just sort of rest it on your ears and slide it back, making sure to pull back all your hair out of your eyes. Here you try and I'll help if you need it." she handed the band to Charlotte as she stood back up. "As for food, you can choose what you want and our chefs can do what they're able to. The selection's a lot more varied in a base than out on a mission. I try to eat healthy when I can, but the occasional chocolate ice cream has fallen to my appetitie before." she laughed a little at the idea, "It depends on what you want I guess. I do salads mostly." Charlotte would feel some deep subconcious aversion to the word for a reason she couldn't explain.

Her eyes widen a little as Mary Anne kneels down, and she studied the girl's face as she helped her remove the pink bow from her hair, and for a moment, she looked down at it on the floor beside her feet, before she bent, picking it back up, and handed it to the older girl, and took the band instead. "My sister used to wear these... ", she said, wincing a little as she brought it closer to her face, careful to avoid poking herself in the face, and hooked it behind her ears, then pulled it up, sweeping her blonde hair back from her face as she gently settled it in place.

A shiver went down her spine. This was all so... girly. She didn't want to risk upsetting Mary Anne though, not after all the teenage girl had done for her already. Her nose wrinkled at the mention of salad... she used to eat those quite a bit, but the thought of it now just seemed so bland. After everything she'd been through, she deserved better than just a salad.

"What about chicken nuggets? Those are easy... right?", she asked, peering hopefully at the maid, and then blushed.

Surge hides in the shadows motioning Dan to come over quietly. He keeps a costant eye in the air for the choppa.
"Let me confirm, your shelter shield is activated?"
"What are you planning?!"
"Your shelter is secure, is it?"
"Of course it is! Just see for yourself how powerless you are!"
"...Roger that."

Greg laughed through his bloody teeth, "Well...it's a souvenir of mine from the British Isles...bring it over and I'll show you how it works. It stops the pain completely. Giving you enough time to do surgery or something."

Dan stumbles up, not expecting the hard landing. She held her arm in pain. The helicopter continued forward for a while before not hearing the hum of motorcycles, at which point it began to turn back around.

Mary Anne nodded, "I'd say so. They'd probably be able to do something about that." she laughed again as she adjusted a few hairs from Charlotte's headband, "You look good. Let's go to lunch." she turned and began to walk out.

Charlotte wondered if she'd ever be able to sort her mind out again. Everything felt so confusing right now. The way the simple blue dress gently caressed her smooth thighs as she walked, the way the sandals were so comfy beneath her feet, even the way her hair swished against her back as she followed Mary Anne from the room.

She got visibly more nervous as they got further from the safety and privacy of the bedroom, and she stuck very close to the maid, blue eyes peering cautiously at each doorway they passed, and she ducked behind the teenager if they passed any girls in the corridors. She started to imagine what the boys back at base would say if they could see her, unsure if they'd feel sympathy or simply laugh at her. They'd all worried about being turned into girls, but none of them knew the girls could do worse, and turn you into a -little- girl.

Charlotte remembered all those times she'd asked her girlfriend to wear shorter dresses and skirts, but now even one that went passed her knees -felt- short. The way it swished about made her worry about the childish white cotton panties peeking out, so she held onto the dress with one hand as she walked, and could only imagine what some of the ones she'd made her girlfriend wear would feel like.

Surge helped Dan hide as the Choppa vanished. "Is your arm ok?" he asked noticing she was clenching it.

Dan was struggling against her inner-girl to cry openly at the pain. Tears were slowly dripping from her eyes reflecting her struggle. "I'll...*wince*...be fine." She looked up to Surge in the night air, a sort of vulnerability in her eyes for half a second, "...thank you Surg-... Sir." she pressed her confusion out the window and began to walk back to the base.

As Mary Anne and Charlotte entered the cafeteria, a dozen eyes could be felt scanning the small eleven year old. "Don't pay attention to them, Charlotte." she said reassuringly and grabbed the small girl's hand to escort her to the ordering booth. "Chicken nuggets, right?" she quickly confirmed before she stepped up to the booth, "I'll have a Caesar salad with extra tomatoes and olives and I'll also have an order of chicken nuggets." the chef nodded her head, the gigantically tall chef hat on her head bobbing comically, and began to dish up the salad and nuggets. "Did you want anything to drink Charlotte?"

"Right..." Kind of wondering wether Greg was a bit out of it, Julian goes and grabs the carving anyway.

As Julian grabs the carving and brings it back. Greg quickly grabbed, resulting in another painful groan from himself, "All right...Julian...you'll have ten minutes to sew me up." he took the wood carving and kissed it and suddenly began speaking gibberish under his breath. After a few seconds, Greg's body went limp...completely limp. Checking his pulse would reveal that there was none. The only thing to hint that ANYTHING had been done from that odd ritual was that the carving that had fell from Greg's dead hand had started to glow.

"... the hell." Julian looks over Greg a bit... then figuring he should get to work he gets the rest of the med kit and starts doing what he can.

She felt their eyes upon her as Mary Anne led her across the cafeteria, and nodded her head to confirm what she wanted to eat. As they came to a stop at the counter, she looked up at the chest, but then turned her head a little, glancing back over her shoulder to gaze around the room. Without saying a word, she shook her head when asked about a drink, her long blonde hair swishing across her back. Her blue eyes glanced down at her small, delicate looking body in the simple blue dress, her chest rising beneath it as she sucked in a deep breath, and wondered to herself, just how many of the girls in this room wanted her dead. She leaned her head against Mary Anne's arm, and thought back to those girls laughing at her in the truck because she'd wet herself. Suddenly, being laughed at didn't seem so bad compared to people wanting to kill you.

It was a gruesome sight. Greg's stomach had gone through a lot more than he had let on. As Julian removed the body armor and clothes in the way, he would see Greg's condition: his stomach had been ripped open and practically flayed; his upper intestine had bloated and bulged at the trauma and his stomach seemed to be trying to escape it's fleshy prison. The image wrought more than enough flashbacks in Julian's memory than desired. Next to his stomach, his knee (which had now been fractured in SEVERAL more places with his forced escape from the complex) looked almost negligible. There wasn't MUCH Julian could do but try and push Greg's bulging organs and tie them in, trying to stem the bleeding. After ten minutes exactly, Greg's lifeless, white body flushed with color. As if sparked by something, Greg lurched forward, breathing in deeply and yelling loudly...the pain had come out on top of his adrenaline now.

Mary Anne tightened her grip on Charlotte's hand, knowing full well the situation at hand. She took the tray of salad and chicken nuggets and led Charly to the table. "So, sit down." she gestured to the seat across as she sat down. "All right Charlotte. Tell me about yourself...we never really had time to aquaint ourselves. You've been a busy girl."

Charlotte climbed onto the chair beside Mary Anne, rather than across from her, the bigger girl beside her making her feel safer, shielding her from the room. She wriggled a little, pulling the dress about so it wasn't stuck beneath her, glancing at how Mary Anne's dress sat around her thighs, and tried to adjust her own in the same way before reaching for a nugget and biting into it.

She'd ended up pressed quite close to the teenager, and kept her voice down low to avoid being overheard by others over the chatter of the cafeteria, and looked thoughtful as she considered Mary Anne's question. "You mean, what I did? I guess it was like being a spy. I was good at avoiding detection, sneaking in places to watch people, steal things, break things... and sometimes kill people. I never enjoyed killing then though. I'd been trying to find my little sister Clare, she's fourteen, and my girlfriend Crystal, she's sixteen. They both ran away when the war started, and I've not seen then since".
