Francis looked to the other challengers as they launched their attacks and directly to the goblins. He started to whisper something vaguely Latin as his hand glowed a brilliant white, within a few seconds an orb of light no bigger than coconut left the tip of his staff and flew directly towards the gathering of goblins.

With her shield upon her back, she holds her sword in one hand, keeping silent as she watched the goblins emerge. She kept her back straight, standing in a rather proud stance, and lifted her head slightly, reaching out with her free hand, the palm pointed down, fingers spread slightly and stretched towards the goblins as she murmured beneath her breath, calling down crackling beams of pale yellow light that would scorch whoever they struck.

((Sorry to everyone. I've just been feeling lazy and uninspired. Anyway... goblin attack force!))

The goblins, dressed in ill-fitting armor and carrying assortments of blunt instruments and wooden clubs, descend upon the heroes!

Haylie wrote:Peter laughs out loud.

"HAHAHAHAHA! Goblins?! Are you serious? I eat these for breakfast!"

He then draws his longbow, nocks an arrow, and lets it fly straight at the nearest goblin's throat. Unless something should get in the way, it should hit its mark. He does this several times.

The goblin had barely had time to get its eyes adjusted to sunlight before it found it was breathing wood through its neck. A couple goblin archers yammer at him and pull their bows back to return fire.

Blazerkin wrote:James doesn't make any snide remarks like the others and simply draws his knives and starts twirling them. He goes after the nearest untargeted goblin and simultaneously slashes at it's throat and stabs at it's belly to disembowel it.

The goblin is eviscerated! How visceral! There is a pop as a hatch opens behind him, and he feels something jump on his back!

Goblin: "Yeeberlegblle!" ((Translation: "Rid 'em cowboy!"))

muffinstud wrote:Hogarth exhales. All he'd need to do is flourish his hands a bit, and people would think he's got all this metal hidden in his cloak. He can do this. More seeing the metal in the goblins' weapons than the goblins themselves, he swipes his hands around his waistline and his wrists. The product of this action is an assortment of disks, needles and blades seemingly balanced on his fingertips, all razor sharp. With a flick of his wrist, they all fly straight into a nearby golem. He concentrates, intending to push the shrapnel through the thing's body and into another.

The goblins are pierced! A couple lightly (read: none) armored goblins jump out of the way and start charging! Their wooden clubs looking knotted and blunt!

ashuros wrote:Francis looked to the other challengers as they launched their attacks and directly to the goblins. The goblins are popping up all over the arena, but a group of four of them stare at the coconut sphere.

Goblin: "Hobbleg obllealo!" (Translation: "Oooo shiny.")

Ickle Harri-chan wrote:With her shield upon her back, she holds her sword in one hand, keeping silent as she watched the goblins emerge. The beams of light struck! And whoever is struck (the goblins, hopefully?) are scorched! Several unscorched goblins charge at her.

Back up in the box, the princess blushes and covers her mouth in shock of the carnage! It looks rather adorable actually.

Arleigh merely nods. Seemingly satisfied so far.

He's barely heard saying aloud, "One..."

Peter breaks stance and backpedals, keeping his eyes on as many goblin archers as he can, then stops, kneels, nocks several (four or five) arrows at once, all pointed at different angles with his bow set horizotally, and lets them fly, aiming for as many goblins as he can get. He's surprisingly accurate, even with scattershots.

James is ridden and he doesn't like that sort of thing. So he falls backwards to try and crush it!

As the charging goblin approached, Trey slashed upward with his bastard sword making sure to keep his left flank covered by his tower shield. Should the goblin survive, he would attempt to finish it off with a downward cut.

The goblins go down! But not before a couple sends rusty arrows his way! Gasp!

Unfortunatley for him, this goblin had armor. So instead of crushed, it just had the wind knocked out of it.

"Gabbleyabble!" (Translation: Yer gonna get it!) It whacks him across the head with its club!

The goblin is slashed! Making goblin ribbons! More of them, more heavily armored, start swarming over him.

His smile quickly disappears. "Six... Oh, bother."

He breaks stance again and begins running... forward? He slides to avoid the arrows, apparently not minding the dirt, and fires one arrow for each goblin archer, this time going for the eye for added challenge.

Ginny pulls the giant shield from her back with an ease that seemed impossible for her slim arm, and brought it infront of herself, tucking her shoulder agaist the inside, and she began to run at the charging goblins, waiting until the last few feet before ducking her head down below the top of the shield, and crouching slightly so the barrier was almost brushing the floor, but not quite.

Trey smirked as held his ground, keeping his shield tight to his left side to cover. He shouts to the surrounding goblins, challenging them to attack while he cautiously hacks at the nearest armored goblin.

Gregor looked anxiously from the booth, worried that Sir Dendin's plight might get worse.

Through arm-contortionist movements, the goblin is stabbed! It bleeds out...

He hits! Gaining extra awesome points!

The goblins jump to either side! Though some arent as fast and are bashed like pins in the face of a paladin bowling ball!

The ones who jumped get up and try to attack her from behind!

The goblins are a bit wary, but his shout eggs them on! They swarm in from all directions!

Menawhile, by now most of the goblins are dead. Up in the booth, the king claps.

Arleigh: "Well done... but that is just the beginning!"

More hatches open up in the Arena, and gigantic feral boars (They would come up to about waist height on a grown man), crazed and foaming at the mouth, charge out... attacking anything that moves.

Any hunter of the wilds could tell you that killing a feral boar is much more dangerous than people would think. One wrong move and they would easily gore you to death with their razor sharp tusks.

"That'll be eight, then. No green menace can stand before the might of my longbow!"

Peter holds up said bow for all to see, looking rather proud... until he turns around and sees the boars. "Bloody hell."

He takes off rather quickly, looking around for something he can climb on and fire from, such as a platform or tall stone, even a pile of bodies... anything that would get him away from those tusks. "If all goes well, perhaps I might get some ham from the beasts. Glorious!"

Trey laughed and goaded the goblins once more. This is the combat he loved; him against the world. He slashed left and right, keeping his shield arm close to his side. He almost didn't notice the boars were it not that a goblin was now under the stomping hooves, being shredded by goring tusks, of the giant feral boars. He tried to finish off the surrounding goblins while keeping a wary eye on the rampaging pigs.

James got up, still slightly dizzy from the wound and took a few seconds to re-orient himself.
