Charlotte pressed against the side of the older girl, blue eyes looking up at her as she told the story. For a moment, she showed no reaction, but then slowly glanced down over the young girl's body she inhabited, "Like they did to me.... ? ". Her eyes widen a little, and she looks back up, "Your brother was the first? Is he... uh... she... still around?", she asked, before a little frown creased her youthful features. "Swap intelligences.... Mary Anne... I'm still me, right? I just got a different body... ".

Mary Anne's eyes glistened with held back tears as she continued, "No...he died that day. The schism between his physical body and brain, his intelligence, and the part we had never considered: the soul was to difficult to bear and he died from three simultaneous brain hemorrhages...we didn't find out about those until he died. The scientists told me he was in a coma, and I desperately tried to believe them...even when I knew the truth." she dabbed her leaking eyes with her pajama sleeve, "After they performed the autopsy when they considered him dead, they found the hemorrhages and could only explain that his brain had imploded on itself." she gasped deeply to regain her control, a sense of emotional calm took place, if only for a moment, of her rampant memories. "The girl suffered the same way. We did more research and discovered that it wasn't the intelligence we could remove from the body, but the entire soul. It's been a long road of exploration with more casualties than it might have been worth...but we've finally tapped into that source." she sat silent, still trying to be the good example to the small girl.

Charlotte found herself getting rather emotional as she listened to Mary Anne's story, not to mention rather suprised to hear how dangerous the process she'd been through actually was. "Am I... the first one that worked properly... ?", she asked. Even amongst the humiliation of what she'd become... there was something fascinating about the idea of being the first of something. She drew a deep breath, and tried to comfort the teenager, gently rubbing Mary Anne's tummy through her pajamas, "Do you know their plans for me? They could have just used the pink stuff on me, there must be a reason they wanted me like this... or maybe they just wanted my old body for that other girl.... ".

Julian looks around to see if he can find any replacement parts... or even something to keep it working long enough to drive there.

There wasn't any replacements sitting around, though if he hocked the bikes and their mutual suspensions, he might be able to jury-rig some suitable mechanism.

Of all the buildings, a single part in the whole protected complex had lights on. It seemed that there was almost no protection over it.

Mary Anne nodded, "There have been about 8 successful transfers, though every one of them died within a month...their thought processes degraded from day one. You haven't shown any sign of decay...though you do show an increased aptitude for items that pertain to smaller children activities. As if you and the girls souls touched and transferred a small portion of each. Your soul partner has also shown an increased desire for subterfuge and other 16 year old boy antics." she smiled, in relief that someone like Charlotte didn't have to die for science like so many had before her." a moment went by in silence, "Your plans are...complicated. Everyone knows Chris was an excellent assassin with a sniper...but you're more the up close and behind hitman. We'll have to train you in those as if that's what we were rehabilitating Chris to. Once your training is done, you'll be placed under the Hierarch's direct orders."

Julian nods and gets to work, rolling in the bikes and beginning to take them apart for their parts. He works quietly and quickly, only pausing to work out how to do the next step, like he was putting a puzzle together.

After about twenty minutes worth of tinkering, a clean-shaven, short haired Greg entered the garage. He almost seemed more ragged without the grizzled beard. His face was hard and his skin was tight shadowing his brutal past. He had changed into a cleaner, less holey and ragged uniform. He arched an eyebrow at the current mess in the garage, "I didn't want to ride those bikes anymore anyway." he chimed sarcastically. He was limping, to favor his gut.

Charlotte blushed as Mary Anne mentioned parts if her behaviour resembled a small child, and she lowered her head a little as if trying to pinpoint what had changed. While she was struggling to arrange her thoughts, an example was staring her right in the face... literally. She still found Mary Anne attractive, very atttractive infact, but her body no longer reacted to the beauty of the girls anymore. She remembered how her first meetings with Mary Anne and the Hierarch had been, struggling to concentrate, almost hypnotised by the looks and bodies of her captors.

Those feelings were still there, but they felt de-tached from her. With the way she was leaning against the teenager, Mary Anne's breasts were inches from her face, and yet her mind was clear, and there was no physical reaction, no squirming or staring. She drew a deep breath and looked back up, "Will I grow up like a normal... girl?".

"I just hope the parts hold. Bike suspension and a cars arent exactly the same" commented Surge before he looked at Greg. "And you, what are you doing standing up? You should be resting"
"Let me confirm, your shelter shield is activated?"
"What are you planning?!"
"Your shelter is secure, is it?"
"Of course it is! Just see for yourself how powerless you are!"
"...Roger that."

Greg smirked, "Just getting a whiff of the fresh morning air." he looked around as the two boys helped rig up his van. "It should hold...but like Surge said, it can only be a temporary fix."

Mary Anne looked to the eleven year old, "I imagine so. Though you have about five more years more experience than any other girl your age."

She bit her bottom lip, her fingers brushing through Mary Anne's brown curls. Being so young again on top of becoming a girl had been humiliating, but she realised she'd been spared many things that most other boy to girl victims would have gone through. She didn't have breasts yet, and her body didn't have the curves a teenager would... but that would all come if she remained a girl. "It's not like I thought... ", she mumbled. That wasn't exactly true. Everything in her bedroom was so pink, and the closet filled with clothes like in her old nightmares... but.... it wasn't meant to feel this comfortable. Right now, the idea of going back to the uncomfortable beds in a room with a hundred others, with the horrible food. Even the clothes, which hadn't seem so bad at the time, now seemed horrible compared to all the soft, comfy clothes she'd worn in the last few days. "I... I like it here... ".

Nothing happened as Chris made his way to the building. No cameras were watching him, no soldiers apprehended him. The door to the building was shut, but wasn't nearly as impenetrable.

Mary Anne smiled, "What most of the boys don't realize is that we try to make all our girls comfortable. We know that war is war and that comfort is scarce out on the frontlines, but the new girls eventually make it back to the base and they're comfortable. Even those who resisted the mental conversion found that free time happened more and that they enjoyed being a girl. You're special Charlotte...and I hope you'll stay instead of trying to escape."
