YOUR FACE.
Yeah, I'm bored. I might as well toss in my two cents, despite what they're not worth these days. Stupid currency.
Making someone feel obligated to show their feelings to someone else, especially through materialistic and monetary means, spits right in the face of what true love is all about. All it does is help to breed the darker side of human interaction, by inspiring such things as greed, envy and hate. For the same reason I don't understand why there must be a specific day to show one's love for either their father or mother, I don't understand this holiday. In each case you can love someone any day; and every day, if you so desired and had the time and energy.
I suppose it could be worse, though: they haven't set aside a "special" day for hugs, yet. That I know of, anyway. Though that's not saying much since someone's life can't be celebrated every day, or just any day, and gift-giving is relegated to specific times and occasions, as if people should be bound to them rather than their own feelings and priorities.
The human race is really stupid.
