Greg didn't push Surge's glare, if he didn't want to talk about it, so be it. "I think that's why most people joined the war." he looked to Dan and Ashton, "Any different reasons?" to which they both shook their heads. The van rattled down undisturbed for another hour before Greg's belt began beeping. "Uh oh." he pulled a headset that unfolded from a utility pocket and brought it to his ear, "We might have company soon, a recon helicopter on a scouting mission...what faction I don't know yet..."

The Hierarch smiled, though this time it didn't seem to involve plans or schemes. It was warm and it seemed she was filled with joy, "Thank you Charlotte." to the question she shook her head, "There's no reason to convert afterwards. It's a way of overpowering the boys with their own converted forces. Once this war's over we'll have to start over, be adults, have children, keep researching. And perhaps we'll be able to explore out into the mysteries the world has become."
