I'll start off with an introduction! I am Zilla. I am a game designer. I'm 20. I had blue hair at one point, pink hair shortly after, and now I need to do something with it .

I run my own website too, but it's not very busy. We talk about anime and video games and internet stuff, and play games with each other...

By the way, I like anime and video games! I'm a game designer though, so what did you expect? There are a few types of anime I don't really care for... the same kind you hear elitists belittle... like Naruto, DBZ/GT, Inuyasha, those kinds of things (A SERIES NEEDS TO KNOW WHEN TO END!) My favorites, in alphabetical order, are Air, Azumanga Daioh, Cowboy Bebop, Death Note, Excel Saga, FLCL, Kashimashi...

For video games, I like things like Zelda, Mario, um, open-ended games like Fallout 3... Old games like Wing Commander: Privateer, and oh god ROCK BAND!

FINALLY!! Someone else who dislikes those anime/manga. Seriously, they really do need to learn how to end. Although, on another note, I'll go ahead and say I don't care too much for Cowboy Bebop, Death Note and FLCL.... meh, they seemed so so too me... and death note got hyped up waaaay more than it deserved...

I too, thought Death Note was getting way too much attention at first. I tried reading the manga back when it was just a scanlation and a really hip friend linked me to it, but I couldn't get into the story. I only got as far as Light's first kill, and I couldn't have expected the plot to go in the direction it actually ended up taking. I sat in on a few episodes at an anime convention though, and I was totally hooked!

I'm a big fan of the forum game called "mafia" (and I was also thinking we should do an MSF version of that game!) and Death Note really plays to that niche.

Regarding everlasting show, while I don't watch them, I support their existence. A cash cow needs not to die if it provides a studio with the financial stability necessary to take risks in (financially) unsuccessful ventures. FLCL for example was a silly test for Gainax to try their hand at digital techniques. It was the first fully digital anime produced by the studio and they tried a lot of new effects, like the manga-like sequences. A studio needs to have some cash to burn in such projects which potentially offers little returns; I believe the over exploitation of the evangelion brand provided this stability.

XD It wasn't really late for me. I just had had a very long day that was both brutal and awesome at the same time. Either way, hope ya get accustomed to the place soon and get to enjoying all the facets of the forum that ya can!
