Ginny reached out, grasping the hand that was offered to her, and pulled herself to her feet, nodding her head in thanks as she sheathed her sword and placed the heavy shield across her back. "I'm guessing these weren't part of the challenge... ", she asked, pointing her finger at the demon corpses around her. "I know atleast one escaped... one I personally want to bring to justice... ".

Victor did his good deed deciding to let the brute fighters finish up the rest. His interest was more in the king's barrier, clearly the king knew more then he said though questions would have to wait till later, when there was less chances of dirtying his cloths. For now he was content with praying and passing on the souls of the dead, making note to do so before they could become zombies or such.

With nothing better to do, James went off to retrieve his dropped bow. He climbed back up the Arena wall and picked it up from one of the seats.

Peter wipes the sweat from his forehead, the first sign that he ever gets tired. He still isn't breathing hard, though. He stands and looks around for any straggling demons.

Jibril might recall (or not, considering he is a stranger to these parts) that the Legion is tasked with keeping the Emperor's peace in the city of Overwatch. As such they are kind of like fancy city guards... and what city guard expects to fight archers and cavalry from inside a city?

As for those needing his aid, he could either jump into the stands to assist the very Legion who's competence he questioned, or remain in the Arena. The Arena seems to need the most help, as most of the Legion is in the stands rescuing the citizens and pushing towards the royal box to secure the princess and king.

Francis continued to run from the creature, unable to make up enough distance between him the beast to perform his offensive spells, he began to grow tired before restoring his stamina with a simple healing spell. Just as the golden glow had faded from his body a thought entered his mind.

“What if I heal the creature?!”

Almost stopping in place, Francis turned around and chanted before tapping the floor with his staff. a wall of light appeared in front of the creature as it charged Francis, though he had never attempted to cure such a transformation, he believed that if heresy could cause such a thing then the power of his faith could undo it.

"No, they werent. But dont worry, we have the situation well in hand." He turns, raises his sword and shouts: "For the New Empire!" The call is taken up, and the soldiers around her break forward, crashing into the last demons surrounding the royal box.

This is a good idea! The battle is winding down anyway. It shouldnt be much longer, and there are many wounded and dead on the field.

His bow is where he left it, but as he picks it up, he hears a roar! Over to his right, one of the demons breaks through the ranks of Empire soldiers. Bleeding profusely, it nevertheless charges him!

There are a few in the Arena, and more on the left side of the Arena stands. Most of them have been taken care of.

He could go help James? Or Francis But really its up to him...

She brushed two fingers against the side of her forehead and saluted the guards as they charged at the remaining demons. She watched several of the skirmishes around her, and pushed her palms out towards several of the heroes, who'd feel an extra little burst of energy to help finish their fights. With that done, she drew another deep breath, and made her way up into the stands, where her servant was waiting with her daughter. Ginny took the little girl, who's arms wrapped around her neck, and she smiled, kissing her forehead, holding her in her armoured arms as she made her way towards the royal box, the servant following at her heels.

Tired, weak, and low on arrows, Peter set back to work, sniping at the remaining demons with his longbow with as much skill as he could muster, which is still quite impressive, given his condition.

James sighs and nocks another arrow and fires at the demon, aiming for the eye!

((I HATE MOVING!!))

Trey, as the demon toppled to the floor, gave no quarter to it as he raised his sword high to deliver a killing blow, hoping the loss of its head may stop the abomination's rampage.

Gregor looked again to the colliseum, "No, Sir...I've no place to stay for the night. We'd only just arrived this morning."

She gets close just as the barrier around the box lifts. Obscured until now, a pale looking Arleigh and a princess in a feint are what is revealed. Though it could be much worse.

Soon he is out of targets... the demons have all but been eradicated!

The shaft buries itself in its eye. With a final shout, it crumples to the ground dead!

Off with his head! His life finally goes out with the loss of the head... to his relief no doubt.

The robed man glances back to the Arena, then looks to the boy. "We will wait here then, come what may."

* * * * *

Meanwhile, the fighting dies down as the soldiers kill the last of the hellspawn, the clouds over the Arena lifting as light shines back into the area. It seems they have won. As the clouds lift, the remaining demons scream and howl, curling up and turning to ash. It is the same with the corpses... until soon only the dead warriors and civilians remain.

Arleigh IX walks to the edge of the box, calling out in a strained but loud voice. "Heroes of Watchwood... you who still stand have proven themselves and more. Whomever who wishes to continue the fight set against us today, join me at my castle this evening." He bows slightly, turning to his daughter.

The golden-haired paladin stood just on the edge of the box, her cheek resting against the head of her daughter, an armoured hand stroking the child's back as she listened to the Monarch's speech. She found herself picturing the Boar Demoness standing above her as she knelt on the ground, and her cheeks flushed slightly.

"Excuse me... ", she said to the King once he had spoken. "Are you inviting us to dinner?".

With the fighting finished Trey came out of his battle stance. Staring at the corpse-shaped pile of ash in front of him, he couldn't help but vow silent vengeance on whatever dark force turned these innocent souls into these twisted perversions. In the somber ambiance, Trey simply nodded to the king's invitation. With the battle over, Trey's next priority Gregor came back into play. He began to look around to find the boy.

Gregor could only nervously nod to the man's proposition, "Yes Sir..." as he said so, the clouds began to recede and the sun's rays once again shone on the coliseum's walls. He thought about Trey which brought up the old man's natural magic use...he worried what might happen should Trey find out.

As though nothing happened, Peter stood shakily to his feet and smiled broadly at the King and his daughter, and bowed elegantly. However, he kept silent.

He then made for the Arena's exit to clean his wounds and prepare for dinner...
