Oh, is that so? Well, Gran came from this sort of midieval world, I guess you could call it. Lots of dragons and goblins and such.

[Millinescence]

"Must have been a shock for her to come into such a modern setting like this." Julia takes another sip of cola as she watches Karen make the fish fillet sandwiches. "Can I have mayonnaise on mine?"

[Ookalf]

Yeah, sure. *Karen grabs the jar of mayonnaise, then continues speaking.* And yeah, she says she had a real hard time blending in when she first ended up here. So much technology that hadn't even been dreamed up in her world...

[Millinescence]

"I can imagine...so many things have been invented since then."

[Ookalf]

Yeah... She's adjusted pretty well, though. I mean, it has been a couple decades.

[Millinescence]

Julia nods. "Say, if it's still open, do you want to go to the mall after dinner?"

[Ookalf]

Sure thing. *Karen finishes up with the sandwiches and brings them over to the table.*

[Millinescence]

Julia sits down at the table and takes a bite of the sandwich. "Mmm...it's good ^^ "

[Ookalf]

Heh, thanks. *Karen starts eating her own sandwich.*

[Millinescence]

"You're welcome." Julia says after drinking some more soda. She takes another bite of her sandwich.

[Ookalf]

Mmm... Anything else you wanna talk about?

[Millinescence]

"I don't really know...Mmm..." Julia pondered over another bite of her sandwich, now about half gone. "What about you? What do you do for a living?"

[Ookalf]

Oh, well, I work at this restaurant my parents own in the mall. Today's my day off.

[Millinescence]

"Ah, I see." Julia says. "What type of restaurant?"

[Ookalf]

Oh, it's mostly Italian food.
