Her brown eyes looked up for a moment, and then around at the others, as some seemed to make some rude remarks towards Paula herself, while another suggested they get out of the rain, and her smirk returned when she heard Bendak's comments towards the one they called Paladin.
"Look at you, you're all pathetic. I don't care what you -want- you spoiled little brat. You don't get everything you want out here in the real world... ", she snapped, and suddenly sprang up at the other woman, aiming a punch of her own for the underside of Paula's jaw.
Claudia manages to catch Paula's jaw even as Bright tackles her. She takes a step back, clutching her jawbone and working it a few times to make sure nothing's broken.

Instead of screaming our heads off, lets get our facts straight. She didnt hurt you or any of us or anything so I dont see much about being angry when obviously she failed".
She smooths her hair back. "Pardon me, Majesty, if I'm a bit miffed at being SHOT AT. It's not something one takes kindly to."

A good thing too, as the grenade that had detonated in close proximity to him had merely grazed most of his armor and dinged it around his legs, though he knew for sure there was at least one piece of shrapnel that had scratched, pierced, or embedded itself into his leg. Despite that, he wasn't about to compromise the mission right at the start. He growled and stood up, walking over to the bounty hunter, assuming that if she wanted to she could kill him as he did, and that she could recognize if he got a hold of her, she'd have a broken neck. He crouched down by the assassin, his helmet guarding his pained look, running his hand around the gun just inches away from it locating the setting dial. "She's telling the truth Paladin. You're a live animal to her..." his helmeted face glanced to her, "...as well." he jokingly added. Though no one could see his face, everyone could tell he was smiling.
"You're lucky we're on the same team, Bendak, or you and your smart ass would still be in the cryo bay."
Bright: "Dont be an IDIOT! THATS NOT WHAT I ASKED! I asked if you left out anything in your file that would cause someone to send an assassin after you. If so I'm going to nail you to the wall so hard your feet wont touch the ground." He growls.
Paula's just barely keeping her cool, speaking to her superior. "No,
sir. I'll thank you not to insult my intelligence like that. I've double- and triple-checked my file a dozen different times to check for corruptions, I know it all by heart at this point. Nothing's changed recently."
