OOC: Bah! Coursework struck again....Oh well, at least I seem to have wound up getting an A for my Film Studies work.
Now, Tom was fairly indifferent about caves on a whole, but today unusual circumstances applied which made him more than slightly relieved to see one.
The guy they were carrying was heavy, as people tend to be. This fact was not helped in the slightest by the second fact that he was being carried by one standard human who was rather beaten up and worn out and one hybrid who seemed to be struggling to stay even half awake, never mind the possibility of her being in a similar condition.
It was also now actually starting to rain enough to consistently render the shelter of the trees useless rather than just slipping through the gaps in the leaves.
Quickly slipping inside, the pair placed their burden on the ground and settled themselves in to wait. As much as Tom was uneasy staying put, he was unable to deny the fact that trying to continue would be foolhardy.
He looked out into the rain for a while before turning to his companion.
"How are you feeling?" he asked, but to no rely. It seemed that as soon as she had stopped moving the hybrid girl had gone back to sleep, leaving Tom pretty much on his own.
With no-one to talk to, nothing he could do and no way he could go to sleep in his current mindset, Tom gazed out into the rain while the edge of his consciousness tried to puzzle out whether his clothes were a touch looser or whether he was just imagining it.
