[FFRP] The RP Nexus

[Zoey]

"But you said we could do something!" replied Kyu.

The old lady finally agrres. "I'll take it"

[Ookalf]

"But you said we could do something!" replied Kyu.

Toshiro... is a different case.

[Millinescence]

The oddly dressed man notices the look from Tabatha. He grimaces, then rolls his unnerving eyes before approaching their little group. "I noticed you were paying special attention to that woman over there." He nods his head in the direction of Sakura and Kyu. "My name is Ray, I'm a detective with Nexus Police. Mind if I ask you what you know about her?" He flicks his wrist, producing an official badge in the flip out of a leather wallet. Oddly enough, as he returns it, he doesn't reach for a pocket. The wallet just...appears and disappears.

The... the police? Tabatha, you didn't do anything, did you?

"No, I didn't, nya." Tabatha says nervously to Karen and turns to the officer. "I recognised her from a vision I had, nya." Tabatha fills the officer in on how just before her and Sally changed, she had a vision of the Asian suffering the same fate along with another boy. She told him everything she remembers about the psychic vision the Plaza's pillar produced, including the man with tentacles. ((Tentacle-man first appears on Pg.32))
"Wow mommy, that was strange story." Sally says.
"I'm her br--sister," Julia tells the officer as she points over to Tabatha. "She's been having visions like that since way before we've got here. Touching old or historic objects usually triggers it."

[Kumi-chan]

"What's wrong Alex?" asks Zoey confused at their reactions as the house comes into view.

"Oh. It's nothing. Just thinking of what happened to me here." Alex frowns. "Don't worry about it though."

[muffinstud]

"Hmm..." Ray looks between the three girls. "Looks like you've had some bad luck after getting here. But you shouldn't have to worry. I'm just looking for information and I hoped you might have some." He gives Sally a smile. "But your story is no stranger than some of the others I've seen. Heck, I'm living one now." He chuckles, then rubs his chin and looks at Tabatha. "Although, if you really do have these visions, you might be helpful with finding out a few things. I'm not sure if there are too many paranormal investigations to be had, but then again, that's not really my business. Would you mind if I contacted you if we find something you might get a vision from?"

Naru smiles and nods her head. "Yes Ma'am. If you'll follow me, we'll get the ring paid for. Would you like me to put it in a box for him?"

[Millinescence]

"Hmm..." Ray looks between the three girls. "Looks like you've had some bad luck after getting here. But you shouldn't have to worry. ((Be careful with that knife, kitty-bread! ...Oh, too late 0.o;; ))

"Ray, In my opinion, this whole place is an ongoing paranormal investigation." Julia says sternly, her female voice somewhat softening the blow. "I mean look at us! We're girls and Greg doesn't even remember being himself anymore."
"Nyaa~ Calm down bro, I know this has been hard, but we've got to be strong, nya." Tabatha says as she tries to comfort Julia. "The K7-Reader registered a huge magnetic anomaly and several quantum shifts during our change before it turned into Sally's schoolbag, nya." She told Ray. "And sure, Ray. I've never really considered a field in law enforcement, but I'll give it a shot." She finds a pen that happens to be on her pink waitress uniform and jots her cell number on a napkin. She hands it to Ray. "You can reach me right here, nya."
Sally just sits and listens as she clutches her Chibi Usa figurine. She looks a bit sad...and tired. She's had a rough day considering how many times her own mommy and aunt told her she used to be someone she doesn't even remember.

[muffinstud]

"I think your reader thing would have gone nuts around me. But you've got to realize, when I mean paranormal, I mean ghosts and unexplained stuff. As for the Nexus Plaza and your changes... Those things are rather easy to explain. Only science doesn't cover it. Not all of it." After taking Tabatha's number, he holds it between two fingers. Suddenly, a small metal claw extends from his wrist and snatches the bit of paper, retreating and hiding the paper under a flap in his skin. "This place is full of magic. It's all pretty organized, from what I can tell. It's like...a subset or superset of science. I'm not sure which belongs to which though. But they both have their own set of rules. Sometimes it looks like they're butting heads, but people tell me there are higher laws of physics that explain it." The skin on Ray's hand vanishes, leaving behind a mechanical frame similar to a skeleton. He makes a fist, only to point his index finger straight up. The tip splits open, and tiny streaks of light shoot out and pop in tiny bits of fireworks. "See? Magic and science."

[Zoey]

"Thank you sweetie" replies the old lady walking along side Naru.

"Well... welcome to my house" says Zoey as she enters and throws the shoes down and rushes up to her room. "Make yourselves at home!"

"Why not, Sakura-san? Aren't you his girlfriend?" replies Kyu

[Ookalf]

"Why not, Sakura-san? Aren't you his girlfriend?" replies Kyu

G-girlfriend? ...What, may I ask, gave you that impression?

[Zoey]

"But I thought you knew each other for a looong time, and he entrusted my security to you... I thought the least you'd be was his lover..." replied Kyu dissapointed.

[Ookalf]

Toshiro and I were friends, Kyu. Nothing more.

[Millinescence]

The girls listen intently to what Ray had to say about the Nexus, they failed to notice his slight of hand with Tabatha's number. But they definitely noticed the Terminator-like hand!
"W-woow~!" Julia falls out of her chair, absolutely stunned by the sight.
"Mister!" Sally exclaims excitedly. "Are you a robot?? 8D"
"Just when I thought I've seen everything, nya..." Tabatha said, her ears wiggle a little as she examines Ray's hand.
Julia gets up and sets her chair back. "Now that's pretty cool...kinda startled me though ^^;;"
"You alright, Aunt Julia?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."

[muffinstud]

Ray grimaces. "Sorry about that..." He rubs the back of his head and lets the little fireworks show die off. His hand soon looks just as normal as any one else's. "But yes, I am a robot. Really helps with chasing down criminals, too." He smiles at Sally, glad to have cheered her up. "What was your name again, sweetie? In fact, I don't think I caught any of your names, really." He blushes. "Here I go, mouthing off about magic and stuff, and I didn't even properly introduce myself."

Naru walks the nice old lady to the register and rings her up. "Anything else I can do for you, Ma'am?"

"I'm Sally :3" She says to Ray. "And this is my mommy, Tabatha."
Tabatha raises a hand.
"And I'm...Julia."
Tabatha reached into her old wallet that's clipped to the side of her uniform and shows Ray a photo of their former selves. "That's Me...Tom, Greg, and Josh."
